After high school, Glenn began recording demos and performing at nightclubs, eventually becoming a respected act in Toronto. He parlayed this success into the release of his first single, "The Thing To Do," in 1998 on Beat Factory/BMG. The song won him a Juno Award for Best R&B Recording. His second single, "Bout Your Love," earned him a Juno nomination.
This exposure eventually landed him a deal with Epic Records. Glenn's debut album, World Outside My Window, was released on March 19, 2002. Fueled by the hit single "Don't You Forget It," the album peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts. He promoted the album by touring with R&B singers Alicia Keys and Tweet, among others.
In 2002, Lewis recorded a cover version of "Superstition" for the tribute album, Conception: An Interpretation of Stevie Wonder's Songs. Glenn also makes a brief appearance in the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan starring Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes. He contributed the song "Fall Again" to the film's soundtrack. A concert DVD, Glenn Lewis Live, was released in 2003.
Glenn prepared his sophomore album, Back For More for release in 2003. The first single, also titled "Back For More," and featuring rapper Kardinal Offishall, was released to radio and a video began to air. Unexplicably, the album was pushed back, first to later in the year, then to 2004. It remains unreleased. In the meantime, Glenn netted a Grammy nomination for his contribution to Stanley Clarke's "Where Is The Love", a duet also featuring Amel Larrieux.
Glenn left Epic Records in 2005, and is currently signed to Underdog Entertainment. According to Glenn's MySpace page, a new album, Remember Me, will see release in the spring of 2007.

Never Too Late
Glenn Lewis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
Yesterday don't seem so far away
Used to just kick it, you and me
How in love we used to be
Holdin' your hand, makin' future plans
So happy were we that things are changin' over time
Sadly, we drifted away
With hopes that you'd come back someday
We'd stay cool, me and you
Talk on the phone once in a while, now and again
Found yourself a new friend
Thinkin' this might be the end
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
You're my love, the only one I'm thinkin' of
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
Oh, don't think twice and let this love pass you by
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
My missin' part, baby, finish what you started
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
And any chance to be, don't take that away from me, no
Girl, you've become a part of me
And I can't see how I could ever be
Without you next to me
Are you part of my life, come and beg
You are precious to me, by far
You have my heart
From the start, the shinin' star
The biggest love that's for sure
Girl, it's plain to see
What you mean to me
Still in love with you
Want you to be my boo
What we gonna do?
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
You're my love, the only one I'm thinkin' of
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
Oh, don't think twice and let this love pass you by
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
My missin' part, baby, finish what you started
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
And any chance to be, don't take that away from me, oh baby, listen
No, no, no, no
Never too late
No, no, never too late, baby
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
You're my love, the only one I'm thinkin' of
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
Oh, don't think twice and let this love pass you by
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
My missin' part, baby, finish what you started
It's never too late
Don't wait 'fore we lose it all
The song Never Too Late by Glenn Lewis is a soulful plea to a former lover not to let their love fade away. The lyrics express regret that the two lovers have drifted apart but that it is not too late to rekindle their love. The song is full of nostalgia for their past beautiful relationship and acknowledges the reality that things have changed over time. Glenn implores his former lover not to let this love pass them by and to finish what they started.
The song's theme is universal and relatable because most people have experienced the same feelings of regret and nostalgia for a past relationship that didn't proceed as expected. The melody is slow and soulful and matches the theme of the song. The lyrics are poetic and heartfelt and paint a vivid picture of the emotions being conveyed. The song touches on the hope that it's never too late to start over and that love should not be taken for granted.
