After high school, Glenn began recording demos and performing at nightclubs, eventually becoming a respected act in Toronto. He parlayed this success into the release of his first single, "The Thing To Do," in 1998 on Beat Factory/BMG. The song won him a Juno Award for Best R&B Recording. His second single, "Bout Your Love," earned him a Juno nomination.
This exposure eventually landed him a deal with Epic Records. Glenn's debut album, World Outside My Window, was released on March 19, 2002. Fueled by the hit single "Don't You Forget It," the album peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts. He promoted the album by touring with R&B singers Alicia Keys and Tweet, among others.
In 2002, Lewis recorded a cover version of "Superstition" for the tribute album, Conception: An Interpretation of Stevie Wonder's Songs. Glenn also makes a brief appearance in the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan starring Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes. He contributed the song "Fall Again" to the film's soundtrack. A concert DVD, Glenn Lewis Live, was released in 2003.
Glenn prepared his sophomore album, Back For More for release in 2003. The first single, also titled "Back For More," and featuring rapper Kardinal Offishall, was released to radio and a video began to air. Unexplicably, the album was pushed back, first to later in the year, then to 2004. It remains unreleased. In the meantime, Glenn netted a Grammy nomination for his contribution to Stanley Clarke's "Where Is The Love", a duet also featuring Amel Larrieux.
Glenn left Epic Records in 2005, and is currently signed to Underdog Entertainment. According to Glenn's MySpace page, a new album, Remember Me, will see release in the spring of 2007.

The Greatest Love Of All
Glenn Lewis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And your boyfriend was me
He would be so secure
He wouldn't have to compete
Maybe I'm just that fly
That he thinks that you'll leave
'Cause as pretty as you are
You deserve finer things
Don't he know when you carry gold
You can't toss it around like it's silver
You never see it glitter
And so just let him know
That someone like me is around the corner
Waiting my turn just to deliver
[Chorus]
All my love as your heart is tender
And soft as a whisper
Wanna give you all , all my heart
'Cause your heart is tender
And soft as a whisper
If I was your girlfriend
And your girlfriend was me
You wouldn't want no other
'Cause I'd be all you need
With your love like a candle
Hold you down like a queen
Be the beat to my name
If you know what I mean
Boy you know that my heart is gold
So don't play around like it's some silverYou say you can't deliver
If you should go
There's some other G right round the corner
Waiting his turn if you don't wanna
[Chorus: x2]
All my love as your heart is tender
And soft as a whisper
Wanna give you all , all my heart
'Cause your heart is tender
And soft as a whisper
In Glenn Lewis's song, "All My Love," the lyrics speak to a man who is interested in a woman who is already in a relationship. The opening lyrics are "Say if I was your boyfriend and your boyfriend was me, he would be so secure he wouldn't have to compete" indicating that the man thinks he could treat the woman better than her current boyfriend. He believes that he is worthy of her attention and loyalty, and if he were in her boyfriend's position, he wouldn't have to worry about her leaving him.
The chorus is a declaration of the man's affection for the woman. He speaks to her heart, telling her that it's tender and soft like a whisper. He wants to give her all of his love because she deserves it, and he believes that he can be the one to make her happy. The final lyrics indicate that if the woman's boyfriend is unable to appreciate her and make her happy, the man is waiting in the wings to be her next love interest.
Overall, the lyrics are emotionally charged with the man offering his love to the woman he desires. He is confident that he can provide the affection and loyalty that she deserves. However, he also recognizes that the woman is not a prize to be won but a valuable partner who requires respect and devotion.
