Glint’s music spans a wide range of genres. The touring band features a selective lineup that rearranges songs to fit a live setting, frequently including longtime collaborator Mateus Tebaldi on drums. Glint’s performances often incorporate visual accompaniment, including video projections created by Blankfort and various artists.
In 2004, Blankfort and manager Adam Jordan created Rely Records, self-releasing Glint’s music, continuosly playing the college circuits. Years later in New York, Jase would continue to self-produce music, perfecting tracks with Grammy award winning engineer Michael Brauer and more recently multi- platinum producer Steve Osborne.
Glint was spotlighted by Apple on several occasions including a “Live at Soho” appearance. Rely Records, with just one artist, uniquely obtained an unprecedented direct distribution deal with iTunes.
Underground music audiences quickly gravitated to Glint’s “wall of sound” since its inception. The UK Metro said to “catch them in relatively intimate surrounds before the inevitable arenas” and NME said “catch them now before they go stellar.”
Blankfort produced several “simultaneously danceable and thought- provoking” (Chicago Tribune) songs in the 2000s that received international attention, including iTunes Discovery Download of the Week in 2010, live appearances on FOX TV and Matt Pinfield’s Morning Show on WRXP, as well as critical acclaim in publications such as Billboard, NME, Artrocker, UK Metro and The Chicago Tribune.
The ongoing success propelled Glint to tour Europe; 10 countries in 40 days, supporting groups like MGMT, and The Airborne Toxic Event. Additional tours and shows followed in the United States, supporting groups like BT and TV On The Radio.
Now, in 2012, Glint is releasing its most ambitious record to date and is seeking to work with the best in hope of breaking new ground globally, on the stage, and through the airwaves.
2) From Nova Scotia and Quebec, Glint blends their hardcore and alternative influences to the forefront with their writing and emotive vocals. With members of Maree Noire, Frail Hands, Botfly, dianacrawls and Heisse.

Glint Lyrics

We go high
Together we divide the sky
Shadows still
The sun is proud of its light
You say hello and I say goodnight
Goodnight
A sudden ring finds my ear
I slip into an unmade bed
Wards we kept to ourselves they reflect
Two beams of bright light intersect
Travelling
Your letters to Helios remained unopened at the door
He attempts to explain that the rain will suffer no more
But now that I am here I feel more alone than ever before
Lost in the black of space I see what blue is for
Why can't you see you belong here with me, my son?
The sky you can breathe if you choose to leave
Your letters to Helios remained unopened at the door
He attempts to explain that the rain will suffer no more
But now that I am here I feel more alone than ever before
Lost in the black of space I see what blue is for
You're gone
I'm gone
He's gone
We're gone
The lyrics of Glint's song "Universe" evoke a sense of isolation and longing, exploring the broad theme of human connection with the universe. The opening lines, "Into black out of blue, we go high, together we divide the sky," suggest a journey into the unknown, into the vastness of space, with someone close. The idea of a shared experience of awe and wonder is conveyed as they divide the sky together. However, the rest of the song seems to be a lament for a lost love or connection, as the singer slips into an unmade bed and feels more alone than ever.
The second verse, "Your letters to Helios remained unopened at the door, he attempts to explain that the rain will suffer no more," is a metaphor for a relationship where the communication has been lost, or worse, ignored. The singer expresses a sense of disappointment and sadness that their letters were unopened, that their words were ignored. The lines "But now that I am here, I feel more alone than ever before, lost in the black of space, I see what blue is for" convey a sense of isolation and detachment, as if the singer is lost in a vast, dark, empty expanse of space, searching for meaning and connection.
Overall, the mood of the song is melancholic and introspective, evoking a sense of longing for connection and meaning. The sparse, haunting melody, combined with the lyrics' powerful imagery, creates a breathtaking and deeply emotional listening experience.

Homeless Hank
I hear this song and I go back to when I would get off work from driving for FedEx and be at a local grocery store standing in the ice cream isle, holding onto a cookies and cream pint and staring at a girl at the end of the aisle. It was my ex girlfriend and we made eye contact. We just stood there and this song was playing above us. The lighting of the store seemed to fit that very moment....

Idk how Tom Thumb got this song for their in-store radio, but I spent literally 3 years trying to hunt it down. Been years since, but it has it's spot in my nostalgia. I wish I could find this song on more platforms.
