Letting Go
Glis Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

No childlike innocence
I turned away
When the world I loved became the enemy
They talk about you
They shout out loud
When they get bored of talking about themselves
When I've lost the lust for life
I know I'll find a way
I'll find it where
I left it all that time ago
And if you feel like letting go
I know you'll find a way
You'll find it where
You left it all that time ago
The pressure of your eyes
Has turned me cold
I fear myself
The paranoia, will drive us mad
The paranoia, will drive us mad
The paranoia, will drive us mad
They talk and then they laugh but you assure yourself
That they meant well, they meant well
They talk about you
They shout out loud
When they get bored talking about themselves
Letting go
I know I'll find a way
I'll find it where
I left it all that time ago
The paranoia, will drive us mad
The paranoia, will drive us mad

I'll find a way, I'll find a way
I'll find a way, I'll find it where I left it all that time ago

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Glis’s song “Letting Go” speak about losing one’s childlike innocence, turning away from the world that has become the enemy, and losing the lust for life. The pressure of other people’s eyes has turned the singer cold, and they are consumed by paranoia, which will ultimately drive them mad. The song suggests pushing the negativity away and finding a way to let go, moving on from the past.

The lyrics speak to the universal experience of feeling lost and uncertain. The singer acknowledges that they have lost something they once had, but they know they can find it again if they look back to where they left it. They also recognize the role that other people can play in their own negativity, talking about them and shouting out loud when they themselves become bored. But even in the midst of these negative voices, the singer assures themselves that they will find a way to move forward.

“Letting Go” is a song about the journey towards hope and healing. It acknowledges the pain and anxiety that can consume us when we lose our way, but it also offers a path towards finding ourselves again. Through its thoughtful lyrics, the song encourages listeners to let go of negativity and find a way towards inner peace.

Ayria's voice is amatuer (as well as much of her music) as well as usually flat. Her voice doesnt do this song justice. I'm not hating by any means, just pointing out the truth (the flat part). Not saying she sucks, but they couldve found some one better...much better. Great song though, not so great singer.
