The trio consisted of Pam Berry (Black Tambourine and Belmondo), Dan Searing (The Castaway People, Whorl, The Saturday People) and Terry Banks (The Saturday People and Tree Fort Angst). Their first release was Glo Worm EP put out on Somersault Records in 1994. They followed up in 1995 with Travelogue [IPU-063], a single put out by K Records as part of the International Pop Underground Series. That same year Glo-Worm released Wishing Well, another single but this time put out by Slumberland Records. In 1996, after the members decided to call it quits, K Records got together all their odds and ends and concluded the Glo-Worm story with a CD compilation Glimmer [KLP054]. All members are still making music today.
Review from AMG:
Pam Barry, whose many activities include co-editing Chickfactor magazine and singing in the bands Black Tambourine and Belmondo, is the vocalist for the charming pop trio Glo-Worm. Glimmer collects the band's various 7" singles and compilation contributions, including a cover of "Friday I'm in Love" from a Cure tribute album. Glo-Worm's light, strummy bubblegum is comparable to Courtney Love (the band, not the person), or -- going back even farther in the pop tradition -- Patience & Prudence, the whispery sister duo of the '50s. That this appealing, accessible, and very traditional pop music was considered alternative says something about the marketing of music in the '90s. In any case, Glimmer is a pleasant and breezy must-have for devotees of twee pop.

I lift my cup
I lift it up
I lift my cup
I lift it up

Oh Lord we come before you
As humble as we know how
And how we need a refilling
For our lives are almost down
We need, we need a blessing
Please Lord Jesus tend them now
I lift my cup
I lift it up (aeeeemen)
Oh Lord we come before you
As humble as we know how
And how we need a refilling
For our lives are almost down
We need, we need a blessing
Please Lord Jesus tend them now
I lift my cup
I lift it up (with your spirit divine)
Aeeeemen
I lift my cup

@DJGeorgeDisco
Wow, thank you Jesus! I love this record. I used to go to record stores looking for gospel dance singles. When I found this record, I was so overjoyed. One of my cherished in my collection.
@happynappy
One of only a handful of musicians who could make praise and worship to God sound good, and be popular in mainstream music. Amazing! 👏
