Globus is a colossal band creating a blend of dramatic & cinematic music fused with classic rock & pop, amongst other elements.
Globus preformed a live concert in Santa Monica, California, on June 27th. Trailer Music Live, included Globus songs, and Immediate songs. More info can be found here: www.trailermusiclive.com
The core of Globus is essentially a classic rock band, fronted by 24 year old Surrey based Dann Pursey, and featuring Skunk Anansie and Feeder drummer Mark Richardson and Manic Street Preachers’ keyboardist Nick Naysmith.
Globus performed a hugely successful ‘test’ concert last summer at Wembley. As one of the production managers said, “We’ve done rock bands, we’ve done orchestras, we’ve done choirs….but this was the first time that we’d ever had them all in one enormous show!” A TV special and DVD that captured that incredible show is in the works.
Globus has full-length releases on Imperativa Records.

Fortuna Deus
Aeterna Teus
Mystrie, Morte, Sancte, Pior!
Fortuna, Hossana meus
Legionus ab comae
Fortuna, fortuna equis
Hossana meus, fortuna deus
Protego causa in sanctus
Aeternus praetor, firmitas semper
Coryphaeus, rex Regis univers
Prosay solis hossana
Protego sanctus causa
Padre illuminata
Gloria in resurrectum
Prosay solis hossana
Protego sanctus causa
Padre illuminata
Gloria in unum Diem
Terra tenebrae, telluris malus
Quiseri pere curiatus
Genitor edo, in ex domino
Patris illuminata, rex Regis univers
Prosay solis hossana
Protego sanctus causa
Padre illuminata
Gloria in resurrectum
Prosay solis hossanna
Protego sanctus causa
Padre illuminata
Gloria in unum Diem
Lacrimosa, lacrimosa, in ex dominum!
The lyrics of "Preliator" by the musical group Globus contain Latin words and phrases that convey powerful imagery related to themes of war, victory, and religion. The first stanza of the song begins with "Hossana Meus, Fortuna Deus, Aeterna Teus," which can be translated as "Hosanna, my fortune is God, eternal God." The use of the word "Fortuna" or "fortune" suggests that success in battle is dependent on chance or divine intervention. The following lines, "Mystrie, Morte, Sancte, Pior!" (mystery, death, holy, and pure), seem to evoke a sense of awe and reverence for the divine power that can determine the outcome of war.
The second stanza focuses more on the act of battle itself, with the repeated use of "Fortuna" suggesting that the outcome of the fight is tenuous and uncertain. The lines "Legionus ab comae" (a legion from the hair) and "fortuna equis" (fortune with horses) conjure images of fierce cavalry charges and combat on horseback. The phrase "Ad pugnatoris, in veritae" (to the warriors, in truth) suggests that the battle is being fought for a just cause and that the warriors are fighting for the truth.
In the final stanza, the lyrics shift to a more religious tone, with the words "Terra tenebrae, telluris malus" (earth of darkness, wicked earth) echoing the Biblical portrayal of a sinful and corrupt world in need of redemption. The lines "Padre illuminata, Gloria in unum Diem" (Father illuminates, glory in one day) suggest a belief in the ultimate triumph of goodness and the eventual defeat of evil. Finally, the refrain of "Lacrimosa, lacrimosa, in ex dominum!" (tearful, tearful, into the Lord) seems to express a sense of sorrow or remorse for the loss of life and the suffering caused by war, even as the song celebrates the triumph of the righteous.

This is so powerful. Each individual involved truly performing at their best to make this performance almost otherworldly. I love the way she sings and announces every word. I’m not even in the audience and this makes my spine shiver.
