Globus is a colossal band creating a blend of dramatic & cinematic music fused with classic rock & pop, amongst other elements.
Globus preformed a live concert in Santa Monica, California, on June 27th. Trailer Music Live, included Globus songs, and Immediate songs. More info can be found here: www.trailermusiclive.com
The core of Globus is essentially a classic rock band, fronted by 24 year old Surrey based Dann Pursey, and featuring Skunk Anansie and Feeder drummer Mark Richardson and Manic Street Preachers’ keyboardist Nick Naysmith.
Globus performed a hugely successful ‘test’ concert last summer at Wembley. As one of the production managers said, “We’ve done rock bands, we’ve done orchestras, we’ve done choirs….but this was the first time that we’d ever had them all in one enormous show!” A TV special and DVD that captured that incredible show is in the works.
Globus has full-length releases on Imperativa Records.

Sarabande Suite
Globus Lyrics

Vraiment libre?
As bien de Aeternae
Penser.
Est-il phantome
qui habite
approcher de Aeternae
Earthly prophet
Break free, high
Dreamless, hoping
Set wings to fly
Earthly prophet
Break free, high
Dreamless, hoping
Set wings to fly
Hoping, Dreaming
Angels
Take our bounty to the near world
Hoping, Dreaming
Open
With our hearts and minds to heaven
Oh, lost seekers
Forget
All the values of past eras
Oh, lost dreamers
Find hope
In the valley of the promise!
Amen
Ah, men are free
Faith found
Amen
Amen
Ah, men are free
Faith found
Amen
Amen
Ah, men are free
Faith found
Amen
Amen
Ah, men are free
Faith found
Amen
Amen
Ah, men are free
Faith found
Amen!
(aeternae, aeternae)
Earthly angel
Hold me, Forget
Angel terreste
Tiens-moi, regrette
Forever free
Olam vaed
Eternal vie
Olam vaed
Eternal vie
Olam vaed
Eternal vie
Olam vaed
The lyrics of "Sarabande Suite" by Globus are a mixture of both French and English. The main theme of the song revolves around the idea of freedom and the pursuit of hope and dreams. The first set of lyrics asks the question of whether one is truly free, and suggests that true freedom can only be achieved through the pursuit of eternal thoughts and ideas. This sentiment of reaching for something eternal is repeated throughout the song.
The middle verse of the song speaks directly to the listener, offering guidance for how they can break free and find hope in their lives. The lyrics encourage listeners to forget about the values of the past and instead look towards the future with an open heart and mind. The final verses of the song are a repeated refrain of the word "amen", signifying the closing of the song with a powerful affirmation of faith.

This is the perfect re-telling of Handel's Sarabande. Nobody could ever top this masterful cover of such a brilliant classical piece.

Should this world come crashing down, the pillars of civilization shatter and crumble to dust, may the heavens remember the beauty we were capable of. The endearing verse, art of life or mind, and voices lifted to inspire. May history remember well songs such as this, the true wonder our minds can create. Weep in our passing heaven, for melodies such as this, they fade with us....though beauty echoes forever.

Pretty words, but they like so many others will leave a very distinct layer of carbonaceous Earth in the distant future.
