The two singers impressed the band so much that they were invited to become members, and with their acceptance, the band was renamed Miami Sound Machine. After recording four all-Spanish albums released by CBS Discos, Miami Sound Machine broke through to a much larger audience with their first English album, Eyes of Innocence, in 1984.

She was a pretty woman and has a lovely voice and is a true timeless classic from 1984 where had nearly 4 decades gone wow time is flying by to fast!!!

She sounds great on these dance songs that were within her vocal range, not so much on the ballads they released later.

@@kristinafontaine3211 I think a lot of that was affect. Gloria will sound like she’s straining on an ordinary note and then rise up a third higher and hit it perfectly.

Also she was notorious for doing 2 hr concerts and pulling them off without cracking a note. In belt- pop that’s really hard to do. Given her longevity, and that she really improved as a singer before hitting the wall, she must have trained her voice studiously.
