Their album "Ridin' the Tiger" in 1997, released on the White Jazz record label, marked a significant breakthrough both artistically and commercially, positioning them among the leaders of the Scandinavian hard rock movement. "Basement Apes," their fourth album, signed with Sony Music, and "Automatic Thrill" became their best-selling record.
Gluecifer performed at notable events such as the 2004 Quart Festival, opening for Monster Magnet. However, the band announced their breakup in July 2005, despite being considered one of Norway's successful rock bands. Their impact extended beyond music, with contributions to the Norwegian film "Izzat," featuring their song "Desolate City" on the 2008 compilation album "Kings of Rock - Best Of And Rarities."
Following the breakup, members pursued individual projects, including Captain Poon forming the band Bloodlights in 2006. Gluecifer's music was also featured in the soundtrack of the film "The Social Network" with the song "Black Book Lodge." In 2015, Gluecifer's studio albums were re-released on Captain Poon's label, Konkurs Productions. The following year, Captain Poon toured as the guitarist for Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. In 2017, Gluecifer reunited for several festival appearances in 2018 and reunion shows in Oslo.

Here Come The Pigs
Gluecifer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We can hear it come, yeah, here it comes
From all but one direction, like bugs to the fire
You can hear them come, yeah, here they come
Here come the pigs, and they're coming in fast
Here come the pigs, let the first be the last
I said you better duck down 'coz they're coming in, in force
Coming in on foot and on horse, coming in through the broken doors
Gotta get out 'coz tonight won't be a ball
It will be the end of us all, it will be a revolution when you hear their call
'Coz they''ll come in a rush, the blood will gush
My god they are just too big
Here come the pigs, here come the pigs
And the day will be night and there never be light
It's the end of the peace and the start of the fight, yeah
Here come the pigs, here come the pigs
Here come the pigs, here come the pigs, and here they come
At the bottom of a pile at the bottom
Gonna be a little while but they got 'em, yeah
Well, you can blow the horn you can kill that goat
Make a crown of thorns or put your world on that boat
But it ain't no use, it ain't no use
We all know they are close, very close
We got the smell of the pig coming up our nose
It is time to get on to the other side to cut loose
Run away, to duck down and to hide, yeah
Here come the pigs, here come the pigs
Here come the pigs, here come the pigs
And I will sing it now, yeah, I will sing it now
Here come the piggy piggy, oh, here come the pigs
The song "Here Come The Pigs" by Gluecifer is a fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping rock song that uses the metaphor of pigs to represent a violent and chaotic uprising. The first verse describes the approach of the "pigs" as a symphony of sounds from one direction, creating a sense of impending doom. When they arrive, they come in full force, on foot and on horse, breaking through doors and causing destruction. The chorus repeats the phrase "here come the pigs" to emphasize their relentless advance.
The second verse paints a picture of the aftermath of the pigs' attack, with chaos and darkness reigning. The lyrics suggest that there is no way to stop the pigs and that running and hiding may be the only option. The final lines emphasize the power and inevitability of the pigs' arrival, with the repeated phrase "here come the piggy piggy, oh, here come the pigs."
Overall, the lyrics of "Here Come The Pigs" capture the sense of fear and helplessness that people may feel in the face of an out-of-control uprising or violent confrontation. The use of pigs as a metaphor adds a sense of disgust and filth to the imagery, emphasizing the brutality of the attack.
