Their album "Ridin' the Tiger" in 1997, released on the White Jazz record label, marked a significant breakthrough both artistically and commercially, positioning them among the leaders of the Scandinavian hard rock movement. "Basement Apes," their fourth album, signed with Sony Music, and "Automatic Thrill" became their best-selling record.
Gluecifer performed at notable events such as the 2004 Quart Festival, opening for Monster Magnet. However, the band announced their breakup in July 2005, despite being considered one of Norway's successful rock bands. Their impact extended beyond music, with contributions to the Norwegian film "Izzat," featuring their song "Desolate City" on the 2008 compilation album "Kings of Rock - Best Of And Rarities."
Following the breakup, members pursued individual projects, including Captain Poon forming the band Bloodlights in 2006. Gluecifer's music was also featured in the soundtrack of the film "The Social Network" with the song "Black Book Lodge." In 2015, Gluecifer's studio albums were re-released on Captain Poon's label, Konkurs Productions. The following year, Captain Poon toured as the guitarist for Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. In 2017, Gluecifer reunited for several festival appearances in 2018 and reunion shows in Oslo.

Get my head groovin', I wanna get high alright
I see the tracks are forming
Stones keep moving, get my head ruined
Wanna be on that ride all night
I did the two ton boogie
And then the bed rock shake
And my head got baked
I wanna be out there seein' big rock moving
Get my head groovin', I wanna get high alright
I see the tracks are forming
Stones keep moving, get my head ruined
Wanna be on that ride all night
I wanna be out there seein' big rock moving
Get my head groovin', I wanna get high alright
I see the tracks are forming
Stones keep moving, get my head ruined
Wanna be on that ride all night
Wanna be on that ride all night
Wanna be on that ride all night
I saw?em moving, moving over the sand
I saw?em moving, in the desert land
I saw'em moving and it was out of hand, yeah
The lyrics of Gluecifer's song "I saw the stones move" expresses the longing of the singer to witness the spectacle of big rocks moving in the desert. He wants to be a part of the experience and let his mind scatter with the tracks and the motion of the stones. The lyrics convey an element of excitement and desire for adventure. The first verse highlights the singer's obsession with the movement of big rocks and the effect it has on him, while the second verse details his experience with the two-ton boogie and the desert froogie.
The chorus of the song repeats the same words multiple times, further proving the singer's passion for the ride and the adventure. The bridge section of the song, "I saw 'em moving, moving over the sand," reinforces the central theme of the song.
Overall, the song seems to embody the spirit of adventure, the thrill of experiencing something out of the ordinary, and the desire to be one with nature.
