Little man, you're very small
Little man, you're very small
No one?s gonna hear your call
No one?s gonna hear your call

Little man, your eyes are red
Little man, your eyes are red
Wishing you were cold and dead
Wishing you were cold and dead

No one's gonna play your game
No one's gonna play your game
Nothing changes, it?s the same
Nothing changes, it?s the same

Little man, you're very small
No one?s gonna hear your call
Looking through those eyes so red
Wishing you were cold and dead

No one's gonna play your game
No one's gonna play your game

Nothing changes, it?s the same
Nothing changes, it?s the same

Overall Meaning

The song "Little Man" by Gluecifer is a powerful anthem that speaks to the experience of feeling small and insignificant in a world that often seems indifferent to our struggles. The repeated refrain of "little man, you're very small" drives home the sense of marginalization and isolation that the song's protagonist is grappling with. The lyrics suggest that despite the little man's efforts to be heard and seen, his voice and presence are ultimately lost in the vastness of the world around him.

The song's theme of alienation and disempowerment is underscored by the haunting image of the little man wishing he were "cold and dead." This line suggests not only a desire for escape from the struggles of life, but also a deeper sense of despair and hopelessness. The repetition of "no one's gonna play your game" and "nothing changes, it's the same" further reinforces the little man's futile attempts to assert himself and make an impact on the world around him.

Overall, "Little Man" is a poignant and thought-provoking song that speaks to the universal experience of feeling small and powerless in the face of life's challenges. The driving instrumentation and powerful vocals add to the sense of urgency and desperation conveyed by the lyrics, making this a truly memorable and impactful piece of music.

This song is nothing short of amazing. So sad and melancholic. Whatever happened to Gluecifer? They were pretty promising in the early 2000's.
