Storm
Glyn R. Brown Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Looking back on when I was a child
Not a care in the world
All I've learned and all that I know now
Sometimes we go through pain
Please take us from the rain, yeah
Seems like no one even cares, yeah
Think about the children and what they need
Help me find a way, yeah, yeah, to take the storm away, yeah
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Before it comes on down, yeah, yeah baby
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Before it comes on down, yeah, yeah baby
I know we've come too far
But we must live in a world full of love
I know, I know, I know we can
I know we can take the storm away
[Incomprehensible]
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Down
You know this world is in definite need for a change
We must ask ourselves, do we want all of our kids
Growing up into a world of hate, a world of prejudice
A world of heartaches, a world of drugs and politics
I don't think so
I think, everybody wants to see the same things happen
We must come together and live together in this world
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Somebody take the storm away
Down
Somebody take the storm away
The song Storm by Glyn R. Brown is a poignant reflection on the struggles of life and the desire for peace and harmony. Brown begins the song by looking back on his childhood and how carefree it was, contrasting that with the pains of adulthood. The lyrics express a longing for someone to lift the burden of the storms of life, giving way to a more peaceful and harmonious world.
The song seems to be a call for solidarity in the face of the troubles plaguing the world. Brown implores listeners to think of the children and their future, and to come together as one to create a better world for them. This can be seen in the chorus, where he repeatedly asks for someone to take the storm away before it comes "on down."
The message of the song is one of hope in the face of adversity; that even though the world may seem full of hate, prejudice, heartache, drugs, and politics, there is still the possibility of change. Glyn R. Brown encourages us to take a stand and work together to create a world full of love.

Storm was one of the last games I got for the C64 just before we got an NES. Always loved the theme song.

I have never played the game. I had C64 for three months and i never figured out the turbo load thing and my friends thought it was fun to don't tell me how. I bought an Amiga 500 instead. But i love the music from the games.
