Anywhere you sit you can see the sun
Regardless of where one seats on this island, they can catch a sight of the sun.

Unfortunately on this island I'm the only one
Regrettably, I'm the only person on this island for now.

Same rules apply on a rainy day
The same norms and standards that apply on a sunny day hold even during the rainy season.

And not such a pretty place to be
It's not a beautiful or comfortable location to dwell in.

Then a flower grew out that sand
Soon after, a flower sprouted from the sand, signifying hope and new beginnings.

Before you know it I was back out on that sea
Before I realized it, I was back cruising on the sea.

Now I don't mind it so much because as long
Currently, I'm indifferent about it since as long as I'm not somewhere else.

As I'm not there
As long as I'm not at the former life that I left behind earlier.

I don't mind being anywhere else but where I was before.

Way over yonder there's a new frontier
Over there, far off in the distance is a new territory that I'm yet to explore.
