1. GOLD is … Read Full Bio ↴There are at least 10 bands that use the band name Gold:
1. GOLD is a contemporary metal/rock band from the Netherlands, concidered 'heavy' because of its songs, more than its sound. This quintet focuses on form and content, where their instruments are mere means to express.
The songwriting core of GOLD exists of guitarist Thomas Sciarone (ex-The Devilβs Blood) and singer Milena Eva. Longtime friends Igor Wouters and Harm Haverman provide a rock steady yet adventurous foundation and new kid on the block Nick Polak completes the bunch with his talent for harmony and melody.
With βInterbellumβ GOLD deliver their first full-length album. Each single song on the album is a well-crafted piece of music and a story on itβs own, however βInterbellumβ as an album is more than the sum of the parts. Itβs a monument to our time and to a civilization in decline. It deals with instability and the fear of things to come. But βInterbellumβ also offers a spark of love and hope in an attempt to give meaning to life in modern times.
On βInterbellumβ GOLD have clearly crafted their own style with elements not unfamiliar to man. Milena Eva sets herself apart from other singers in modern rock music with her warm and soulful voice. Sheβs supported by a heavy rocking band whose effect is undeniable, but so is their joy in playing. Together they form an ambitious force that is eager to share its music with the crowds.
Again the Amsterdam Recording Company was the studio of choice and serves as another defining instrument on the album. Itβs authentic tone and warmth completes the richness of GOLDβs sound. Vanderbuyst main man Willem Verbuyst co-produced the album together with Igor Wouters (the bandβs drummer), capturing the songs in a fresh and open sound with attention for the whole as well as the detail.
The band will be out on the stages by the end of 2012, delivering their songs to every soul that cares to listen.

6. Gold is a local progressive rock band from Chicago, IL.
7. Gold was also a rock band From San Francisco. Their 45 was part-produced by Country Joe McDonald in late 1969 at Leo De Gar Kulka's Golden State Recorders, whose legacy has been explored by Big Beat in the Nuggets From The Golden State series. No Parking and a previously unreleased effort I Saw You can be found on the Big Beat's What A Way To Come Down (CD) comp. The band also recorded an album, which remained unreleased until Rockadelic came to the rescue in 1995. Side one is best: No Parking and Righteous Road are high energy rock; Conquistadore has some Santana-influenced percussion and Summer Dresses is essentially hippie-pop; but the stand-out track is the laid back High On Love, which has some lovely melodic guitar. Side two is less impressionable.
The band were managed by Ron Cabral along with his brother Dennis from 1968 to 1973. They broke up after playing San Francisco shows at both the Fillmore and Winterland with groups such as: Big Brother and the Holding Company, Hot Tuna, Ten Years After, Malo, and Mike Bloomfield. They also recorded and appeared with Country Joe McDonald.
8. Formed in early 2008, Gold are a London-based duo consisting of Kate Smith (songwriter & vocalist) and Fraser Smith (producer, songwriter & former keyboard player with UK band Shed Seven).
9. GOLD are a Halifax/Leeds-based band formed in early 2010 by Philip Knight and Ben Green. Influenced by bands across a wide range of genres, the band incorporate many different styles into their work, mostly noted for their "dream-like" sound.

Let Me Know
Gold Lyrics

Not sure if it was wrong or right
To leave you waiting up for
A boy who's throwing up at your front door
You wish I'd be a better man
But you're still caught up in taking hands
Of sorry drunken bastards
No sense of remorse after
In our bed
The one your mom grew up with
Told me
A white lie
And so you wonder why I
I'd like to think that I've changed
And wish that you had stayed the same
We know we've both seen better days
Fake smiles to cover up the way
You said you'd never feel the same
(But the past is something you can't change)
As how you felt before that day
We both made our mistakes
Covered our tongues with a bitter taste
I'd like to think that I have changed
But we both know I'll stay the same
We know we've seen better days
We both made our mistakes
Covered our tongues with a bitter taste
Yeah no wonder why I
Passed out in another bed
Fell asleep with one of your friends
Told her to keep it low
But you'll be the first to know
Sick and tired of the same shit
Laying around in your old basement
No longer in control
It's time you let me go
The lyrics of Gold's song Let Me Know portray a somber reflection on a relationship that went wrong. The first verse talks about the bitter taste that the singer woke up with after leaving his partner waiting for someone who was throwing up at her front door. His partner still settles for sorrowful and drunken men, which the singer dislikes. The mention of his face in their bed, the one her mom grew up with, implies that the relationship had reached a significant level of familiarity, but it didn't survive. The second verse mentions how both the singer and his partner have changed and how they've tried to cover up their mistakes with fake smiles and a bitter taste. The singer reflects on how he has changed and yet how he will always remain the same. He talks about having slept with one of his partner's friends and how he told her to keep it low, but his partner would be the first one to know. The song ends with the singer expressing his loneliness and the need for his partner to let him go.
The song is a reflection of a relationship that's fallen apart, and the singer seems remorseful about the mistakes he's made. He recognizes that both parties have made mistakes, but that it's time for his partner to let him go. The lyrics are relatable and speak to the pain of ending a relationship and accepting that things will never be the same. The use of bitter taste metaphorically reflects the bitterness that comes with the realization that the relationship has not worked out. Overall, the song conveys a sense of sadness and regret.

The amount of bullshit I had to skip through on Tidal before I found this song was amazing. I remained extremely perplexed and disappointed that I have to go out of my way to find music worth listening to. I have ZERO idea who this artist is, but she knocked it out of the park with this one.
