I heard he chose to make that new stuff because he wasn't happy and needed a change of direction. I believe that because he was already making a lot of money out of the trance scene and could have carried on doing so. If it keeps him in the business, that's enough for me because eventually he will go back in that studio and think "I feel like making a trance track" again, hopefully.

@@cranimatedfandom2508 Yes, I suppose he could have continued to be involved in the trance scene through those compilations. Armin Van Buuren has managed to do it with producing commercial stuff but also continuing with trance projects now and again.

Tiesto went what is in fashion and began working with other producers. Tiesto never produced anything himself, he is a brand and a DJ. Nothing wrong with that, but that's one of the biggest reasons for why his sound is nothing like before.

Every time I listen to this masterpiece I have the same amazing feelings when I was fifteen years old and I heard it for the first time in 2000. I was on a school trip to England. We travelled by bus and I woke up at night while we were going through illuminated highways of Holland. I took out my walkman from my backpack and started to listen one of 1LIVE Party Service my older brother used to record on tapes. And it was one of the song. What a beautiful times.
At that time we were lucky to have a satellite dish and a decoder with an "radio" option. We were able to listen to 1LIVE, Sunshine Live etc. Lucky because at that time Poland where I live was closer to USSR than to Europe.

Man used to rinse this back in the day. Used to fade it in just as the woman says 'sunrise' and the crazy beats dropped at 1:45 . Crowd used to go crazy. Definitely one for when the dancefloor was fully rocking deep into a set. What a tune

That riff is from the original Goldscan version too, so I assume it as a yes. Then again this was the 90/00s where you could get away with ripping/sampling within electronic music and not have to ask. I think Junkie XL admitted as much in his and Tiesto’s track Obsession where the vocals are a direct rip from a Calvin Klein commercial, so it wouldn’t be a first.
