It wasn't easy at first, difficulties arose, differences needed to be sorted out. In the end, Billy, Peter and Chris realized that there really was nothing wrong between them. That they have grown up past the point of childish games and hate for no reason. Basically. They all dropped the high school bullshit. They then decided to drop everything they knew, and never even speak about the people they once knew. (unlike popular contrary belief) and move completely on, with no hate for anyone and start over. The first song was born, entitled "Smoking Gun" an anthem about moving on, forgetting the past and forgetting old frustrations. Around November 2010 they got long time friend Hughie McGranaghan on the bass and the puzzle was complete.
In the short months GBF has been together, they have grown closer every second, realizing that they are more than friends, but brothers. Their first album, "Noisetank" (to be released early 2011) named after one of Billy's favorite video games and what Billy imagined a Noisetank to be (something that comes and blows away all the crappy things in life with music) Has 10 songs, and that includes crowd favorites like "Smoking Gun", "I Guess it Was Destiny" "Vampire" and "The End of us". "Noisetank" is gonna be recorded at Killingsworth Studio in September and is being produced by Michael Gaudiello & Anthony Santonocito.
Gone By Friday is dedicated to playing shows with high energy and fun. GBF live is something that should be seen and experienced heard and memorized. Come out to a show, grab a copy(or download) of the "Smoking Gun EP" or "freEP" both being completely free for download, shirts with the infamous "subway logo" only 5 dollars. The guys love and appreciate all the support they've been getting, and all they want is for all their friends and fans to come out and have a good time every show.

Give me something to die for (to die for)
Cause you're not mine
And you're not mine
Give me something to cry for (to cry for)
Give me something to go for (to go for)
Cause you're not mine
And you're not mine
And it's all over it was ending
Stop this now lets stop pretending
And I'll stay true, too what I do
And it's all over it was ending
I'll stop this now lets stop pretending
A big fuck you, to all of you
Give me something to look for (to look for)
Give me something to hope for (to hope for)
Cause you're not mine
And you're not mine
And it's all over it was ending
Stop this now lets stop pretending
And I'll stay true, too what I do
And it's all over it was ending
I'll stop this now lets stop pretending
A big fuck you, to all of you
And it's all over it was ending
Stop this now lets stop pretending
And I'll stay true, too what I do
And it's all over it was ending
I'll stop this now lets stop pretending
A big fuck you, to all of you
The lyrics to Gone by Friday's song Vampire are a reflection of a relationship that has ended or is on the brink of ending. The singer wants something to hold onto, something to believe in, but the person they desire is not reciprocating those feelings. The repeated "cause you're not mine" emphasizes this unrequited love, and highlights the pain and frustration of not being able to let go.
The lines "stop this now let's stop pretending" suggest that the relationship may have been built on false promises or deception. The singer is tired of pretending that everything is okay, and wants to acknowledge the reality of the situation. The angry and defiant "big f*** you to all of you" line shows the singer's determination to move on and let go of the past, despite the pain it may cause.

I don’t think enough people are talking about how this song transitions from a slow piano ballad to a full on emotional pop rock song
@giringkribo
yes very Billie Eilish
@josefinailigan2562
billie eilish blueprint
@zTeaTheCoffee
@@josefinailigan2562 aside from the theme, which is somewhat similar to 'your power', this doesn't really sound at all time a billie eilish song. I guess the transition is a bit like happier than ever, but that song has a completely different sound
instrumentally, this is nothing like billie eilish
@zTeaTheCoffee
enough people are talking about it, because basically ever review and anyone who's ever talked about this song has mentioned that
it is really well done tho, this is one of her best songs yet
