He accompanied many other musicians in their musical endeavors. In 1998, he came out of retirement to play on the Afro-Cuban All Stars album with World Circuit, which later asked him to make a solo debut. And of course, he was a part of the famous Buena Vista Social Club. Buena Vista founder and musician Ry Cooder described him as ". . . the greatest piano soloist I have ever heard".

I Had a music class in college back in the 90's The instructor introduced the class to this wonderful amazing music! Been a fan ever since. This is a brilliant piece that doesn't get enough attention!! Totally underrated. But those who knows gets the magic that's happening right here!
