Best rock n roll song ever recorded. The intro is pure excitement and then the verses and hooks carry you off to the abyss. His vocals overwhelm you. His scream before the sax/piano solo is like total chaos. The beat, progression and melody of the song puts you in a trance like state.

When I was little, I saw a commercial for an album of Little Richard's greatest hits--it was the early '70s. The announcer even said, "Here's Little Richard!"...and when I heard Keep A'Knockin' nd this song, even though I was little, I knew I liked it. As I grew, and heard him perform many times, I never got tired of it. Whether it was rock 'n roll or gospel music--or some combination of the two--I always looked forward to his appearances. And I miss him.

Thank you, TimoStamm, for uploading this. I saw Little Richard perform this song live on a TV show back in the early 1960s. I loved his music then, and I love it now. In fact, I loved Little Richard as an artist and songwriter and still do. He was such a character! You can't listen to his music and just sit there. You GOTTA move!

Even at my old age, I still rock 'n' roll to Little Richard and all the ones who truly gave birth to Rock 'N' Roll music! I like Chuck Berry, too. Of course, while I have no trouble "rockin'", sometimes when I "roll", I may need a little help--but that's what a dance partner is for.

Oh. Did you know that Little Richard is an ordained minister, or that he is a Seventh-day Adventist? Just a bit of trivia that I thought I would throw out there for people to think about.

Let’s look at the documented history and when things happened based on the bio of Little Richard and other books. Let us look at the recorded records and film, tv etc. Little Richard influenced Elvis, Richard is the true king of Rock and Roll. Chuck had a different thing . You could call it rock and roll but it had a country feel to it. He’s from St. Louis MO. Richard is from Macon, GA. I say Richard is the king of rock and roll. Chuck is the king of country rock. Elvis was learning how to tie his shoes( and they weren’t blue suede yet!!!!)when these gentlemen were creating this music !

My youngest daughter is called Molly. Shes 10 months old now. When she was born, after all the nurses had left the room, before they thought she had downs syndrome(she doesn't) before they discovered the sepsis, before the staph infection, before the intensive care, tubes down the throat, life support and being told she wouldn't last the night and we should say our goodbyes. There was 5 minutes of just my mol mol, my wife and in a room alone with just this song playing while we both cried tears of joy and held that girl tight. Shes come along way but this song just takes us right back to that moment!
