1. A dance/electro-rock band from Belgium
Formed in the summer of 2000, they won the Belgian National Humo Rock Rally which led to a live session on the Belgian Radio One and MTV equivalent. Later in 2002 they recorded the debut single 'Audience' with producer Teo Miller (Placebo - Nancy Boy). In 2006 they released their first full album 'Bring It On' (on the Skint label).
Dave Martijn was the temporary tour bassist for fellow Belgian band Soulwax whilst on the promotional tour for 'Any Minute Now' between 2004-2006.
Goose started out as a AC/DC cover band, but they quickly found their own agenda by absorbing great amount of synth into the musical system. Belgium is located just between France and Germany – and in the same manner, Goose are the sound of an intense duel between Kraftwerk and Daft Punk at a lay-by in the Benelux.

Goose Lyrics

Your heart needs to temper
Your heart needs a rest now
You must slow down
To the ground
Yeah, your heart needs to temper
Some times are good
Let me be yours
Some times are good
Some times are fine
Let me be yours
Slow down
Your heart needs to temper
Your heart needs a rest now
You must slow down
To the ground
Yeah, your heart needs to temper
You may be tomorrow
I won't be this day
You're blessed for this moment
And hope you will say
And maybe tomorrow
And maybe today
Let me shine your love and play
Crazy
Time tonight, you made me crawling
Time tonight, your love made me cry
Time tonight, your love made me shining
Time tonight, your love made me
Slow down
Your heart needs to temper
Your heart needs a rest now
Slow down
To the ground
Yeah, Your heart needs to temper now
Your heart needs to temper
Your heart needs a rest now
You must slow down
To the ground
Yeah, your hearts needs to temper now
Your heart needs to temper
Your heart needs a rest now
You must slow down
To the ground
Yeah, your heart needs to temper now
Your heart needs to temper
Your heart needs a rest now
You must slow down
To the ground
Yeah, your heart needs to temper
The song 'Slow Down' by Goose is a heartfelt plea to take a moment to breathe, pacify the internal chaos, and introspect. The song uses the metaphor of a heart that needs to 'temper' or slow down. The incessant rushing and chasing after things can make our hearts exhausted and stressed out. The lyrics implore one to pause, slow down, and relax. The repetition of the phrase 'Slow down' serves as a reminder to the listener to take a break from the rush of everyday life. The chorus talks about the ephemeral nature of life, how time flies, and opportunities come and go. The singer makes a request to be a part of that fleeting moment in the life of the person they are singing to.
The lines "Time tonight, your love made me shining" and "Time tonight, your love made me cry" portray how love can create a spectrum of emotions, both happy and sad. It could bring a lot of joy but also cause pain. However, both emotions are an essential part of the human experience. The song's overall tone is optimistic, and it encourages the listener to look at the world with an open heart and find the courage to slow down and take a break.
Overall, the song 'Slow Down' by Goose is a gentle reminder to live in the present moment, appreciate it and not let it slip away.
