Gordon Rosco Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I don't want much
I just-a want a little bit
No, I don't want it all, I told you
I just-a want a little bit
Just a eeny weeny bit
I want a teeny weeny bit of your love

Turn your lights down low
Honey, slip me a kiss
Turn your lights down low, I beg you
I just can't-a resist
But that's a eeny weeny bit
I want a teeny weeny bit of your love

I want you forever
A-just a peace of mind
Please say you'll never leave, ever
A-till the end of times
But that's a eeny weeny bit
I want a teeny weeny bit of your love

I want you forever
A-just for peace of mind
Please say you'll never leave me, ever
A-till the end of times
But that's a eeny weeny bit
I want a teeny weeny bit of your love

From just a eeny weeny bit
I want a teeny weeny bit of your love

From just a eeny weeny bit
I want a teeny weeny bit of your love

Girl!

I have been an aficionado of R&B for many years. One night in the 1980's I was returning home in NYC in a taxicab from a night of DJ'ing at a club. I was talking to the driver and I noticed his name was Rosco Gordon. I told him there was a famous R&B singer named Rosco Gordon, and he said "That's me" I was in shock! I said, "what are you doing driving a cab?" He said, "what else am I gonna do, sit around with my wife?" I'll go crazy"
Anyway, it was him, we talked a lot and I saw his name in a newspaper doing a blues festival. You never know who you'll meet in NYC.

Nothing is lost, it is where your focus is. You are invited to sample all music recorded from the Rock Era forties through 1975 through the many lists trillions of Absolute Perfection. This is on "Billboard Did Not Reach Top 40 Alphabetical from Late Date" Every kind of music that hit the charts is here without the DJs and commercials. PLAY ALL and hidden treasures are heard, never heard songs in "Rare Records", careers heard in "Pop Artists the Rock Era", there are "Million Sellers". It is a virtual time machine carrying you back to wherever you wish. You are the time traveler through eternal music. Know that you are Eternal also and will listen eternally. Life is the Word of God which is "I"magination. Everything exists that is known from the PAST. What you are is eternal.
