Forgotten
Gorilla Biscuits Lyrics

Friends you lost. Discarded because I'm
No more use. Our tight friendship is
Hanging loose. Stepping on the people
Who were getting all the things you
Wanted. Now you got them, we're
Forgotten. No need.
For token interest in my life. Don't make
Conscience? Maybe not. You just want
More of what I got. Stepping on the
People who were getting all the things you
Wanted. Now you got them, we're
Forgotten.
Try and think why you carry on this way.
It's not you talking, it's your greed I hear.
Nothing means nothing if you're
Insincere.
I don't know why you decide I'm not worth
Calling up. Things have changed between
You and me. We don't hang out but that's
Ok.
The lyrics of the song "Forgotten" by Gorilla Biscuits describes the loss of friendship and the betrayal that comes with it. The song speaks about a friend who discards the singer because he no longer has any use for him. The singer expresses the way he feels about the situation, how their tight friendship is now hanging loose and how his friend is stepping on the people who were getting all the things he wanted. The singer realizes that his friend has forgotten about him now that he has what he wanted and there is no longer a need for token interest in his life.
The singer expresses his feelings of hurt and betrayal, as he tries to understand why his friend chooses to act this way. He questions why his friend would be insincere about their friendship and continue to step on those who helped him get what he wanted. The song suggests that materialism and greed have consumed their friendship, and the betrayal has caused a rift between them that maybe unfixable.
The message of the song is clear - it is essential to value friendship and not let material things and greed get in the way of it. The song shows that neglecting friendships for personal gain can have consequences, leading to forgotten memories and lost connections.
