DARE
Gorillaz Lyrics
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare, ah
It's dare
You've got to press it on you
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down, there
Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
Work it out
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare, ah
It's dare
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down, there
Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
Work it out
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare, ah
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down, there
Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
Work it out
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down, there
Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
Work it out

The commentator on the 2006 BRIT Awards said that the song was originally to be called 'It's There' but they changed it because Shaun Ryder's strong Mancunian accent made it sound like he was saying 'It's dare.'
According to the DARE Songfacts, the song features the former Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder. The main vocalist is Noodle (in reality the vocals are provided by back up singer Rosie Wilson).
The song ends with the same crowd sample as Daft Punk's Revolution 909 starts with.

It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's dare
It's dare
You've got to press it on you
You just think it

To work it out
Never did no harm, never did no harm

It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
It's dare
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down there
Jump with the moon and move it
Jump back and forth
It feels like you were there yourself
To work it out
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
Oh
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down there
Jump with the moon and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
To work it out
You've got to press it on you

12 years later and this song still hits. Gorillaz is one of the few original bands around pushing boundaries. Went to their LA concert this year and literally people 7 to 70 all walks of life.

@Josh Strickland I will redefine my reply for clarification: 12 years later as of the posting of this video as Gorillaz has posted thusly 12 years ago per the video description as of this writing in 2023 AD regardless of the original album publishing date and referring to the posting of the video by Gorillaz official on their YouTube page, this song still hits.

Music is a time machine for your ears, you can hear the past you want back.

Videos are a time machine for your eyes, you can watch videos of yourself before you posted pretentious shit on the internet that you stole from someone to farm attention from anonymous posters (It worked because I'm responding).
Mirrors are a time machine for your body, you can see yourself from the time it takes light to travel to the mirror and back to your eyes.
Etc.
