Down to the valley,
Amongst the fresh clouds
Which cross my body,
The wind doesn't let me breathe
And I dream of dying.
Everyday I want to enjoy
Which I perceive sometimes,
So strongly,
It swells my heart,
Forgetting that there's no going back.
Delicious dream erases my fear
Of the end which is coming.
In Gothica's song The Land Beyond, the lyrics depict an emotional journey of the singer seeking solace in a world that seems to be suffocating her. The opening lines talk about the rugged mountains and the valley, which are symbolic of the highs and lows of life. The clouds that cross the singer's body represent the constant changes that we face and how we carry them in our physical and emotional self. The wind that doesn't let her breathe signifies the feeling of being trapped, and the dream of dying could mean an escape from reality.
The second paragraph talks about the desire to experience the mysterious and unknown, which ignites feelings of excitement and wonder. But the strong sensation also causes the singer to overlook the dangers that lie ahead, and once they cross the threshold, they cannot return. The last line of the paragraph, "Forgetting that there's no going back," is a reminder that every path we choose comes with its consequences, and once we embark on it, we cannot turn back.
The last line of the song, "Delicious dream erases my fear of the end, which is coming," signifies a peaceful acceptance of the inevitable. The "delicious dream" could be interpreted as a state of euphoria or enlightenment that one experiences when they come to terms with their mortality. The singer has overcome her fear of death and has found solace in the knowledge that everyone, including her, must face it at some point.

From the rugged mountains,
Starting from the difficult challenges I face,
Down to the valley,
Until I reach the lowest points in life,
Amongst the fresh clouds
Amidst the pure and unspoiled things in life,
Which cross my body,
That surround and envelop me,
The wind doesn't let me breathe
I feel suffocated and trapped,
And I dream of dying.
I wish for relief, even if it means death.
Everyday I want to enjoy
Each day, I hope to experience
That sensation of mystery
The feeling of wonder and intrigue
Which I perceive sometimes,
That I sometimes catch glimpses of
So strongly,
With such intensity
It swells my heart,
It fills me with emotion and passion
Forgetting that there's no going back.
Not realizing that I cannot reverse time or change what has already happened.
Delicious dream erases my fear
