Racontez-moi
Quel est ce lien
Qui me tient vivant
Dans ce monde
Rassurez-moi
Si les douleurs
Nous rendaient meilleurs
Racontez-moi
À ceux qui rêvent sans fin
Qui s'accordent un repos
Comme ceux qui meurent pour rien
Si loin, sans une rose
Je me dis que soudain
Mes peurs ce n'est pas grand-chose
Pas grand-chose
Racontez-moi
Quel est ce lien
Qui me tient vivant
Dans ce monde
Rassurez-moi
Si les douleurs
Nous rendaient meilleurs
Racontez-moi
Quel est ce lien
Qui nous tient vivant
Dans ce monde
Rassurez-moi
Si les douleurs
Nous rendaient meilleurs
Le pendu me foudroie
Mais la lune s'interpose
La lutte se fait sans foi
Le jugement explose
L'ermite est au soleil
L'impératrice, le monde
Pour moi
Je serre encore les poings
Et je crie pour demain
Et je crie pour demain
Ouh-ouh, le lien
Ouh-ouh, le lien
Racontez-moi
Quel est ce lien
Qui me tient vivant
Dans ce monde
Rassurez-moi
Si les douleurs
Nous rendaient meilleurs
Racontez-moi
Quel est ce lien
Qui nous tient vivant
Dans ce monde
Rassurez-moi
Si les douleurs
Nous rendaient meilleurs, ouh-ouh
Nous rendaient meilleurs, ouh-ouh
The lyrics to Grégory Lemarchal's song Le lien are a reflection on the fragility of life and the search for meaning in our existence. The singer finds solace in a mysterious "lien" or link that keeps them connected to the world even in the midst of adversity. The opening lines describe an encounter with someone who is observing their hand, perhaps indicating a sense of introspection or self-reflection. The singer then calls out to their destiny, feeling a sense of heaviness in their heart but finding comfort in the fact that good and evil are intertwined, represented by the "lien" that connects all things.
The chorus is a plea to those who struggle and dream endlessly, to find reassurance that pain can make us better and that there is a link that keeps us alive in this world. The second verse speaks to those who take breaks and rest amid the turmoil of life, likening them to those who have died in vain. The singer discovers that their fears are nothing compared to what others may experience.
The final verse describes a struggle between opposing forces, with the moon and the hangman in conflict. Despite the odds, the singer perseveres and cries out for a brighter tomorrow, again seeking the comfort of the "lien" that ties us all together. In essence, Le lien is a song about hope and resilience in the face of adversity and the importance of finding a meaningful connection to the world and to others.
