MV A
Say Goodbye to Love lyrics written by Kieth Ireland (my father in law).
He used to sing with the band for a period in the early days when touring Germany then became part of the band as a member of the crew.
Have just played this to him as he hasn’t heard this for over 30 years!
Thanks for uploading!

One of the most beautiful songs ever written. My favourite track on the album.

@Jeni Kaybee Hey mellotrongirl. I remember you from the old mellotron yahoo group before it imploded. Do you know how to play the awesome riff on Supernova? I have 2 m400's and 8 tape racks. Cheers.

I can't even begin to sing along with this one, actually...it's such a tearjerker and I choke up trying to do so...especially knowing in the back of my mind that the concept theme of this LP is life on Earth ending while those up there are orbiting in a space craft. Say goodbye to love/say goodbye to happiness...just drops me right down to my knees.
And that aforementioned Mellotron blast at the end...what inspired Kitcat to do this? I know he was a huge King Crimson fan, and I of course see that also...but he must have also came across Moody Blues' "Have You Heard" on their album Threshold Of A Dream.

one of the greatest mellotron albums of all time! i don't have this second album of theirs, but i do have an original US copy of their first album "!" (with alternate artwork). tragically underrated band!

A fine line between stardom and obscurity. Passages of pure brilliance on each of Gracious's two early 70's albums. The world's loss is their fans' gain. Aah, but there should have been so much more.....

Popular means most common. The evils of money. Art shouldn't be about a profit margin.

Gracious! were a gem of a band. There are few groups of musicians so creative and talented at any time. Both albums they made are masterpieces.
