His first solo album,'The Sky is Too High', was released in 1998 and has a very muted, uncommercial sound. 'TSITH' was followed by 'The Golden D' which features two covers of the band Mission Of Burma. The next album to come was 'Crow Sit On Blood Tree', which has some of his most ethereal tracks to date on, and is very lo-fi. Fourth album 'The Kiss Of Morning' shows Graham developing as an artist in his own right and the songs take on a more fleshed out and accomplished form. However, it was not until the release of 'Freakin' Out' in 2004 that Coxon had a solo mainstream hit. 'Happiness In Magazines', Graham's fifth album, is largely considered to be his most accessible and complete work, featuring frantic, slick guitar-pop of the highest order.
In 2006 Graham Coxon released his sixth solo album, 'Love Travels at Illegal Speeds', preceeded by the UK Top 20 single 'Standing On My Own Again'. 'Love Travels at Illegal Speeds' shows Coxon branching out to try his hand at some new sounds as well as tightening the punk-pop formula that is his hallmark. The album was released in two formats, with a DVD containing interviews and live tracks as an optional extra.
It marks Coxon's first album away from his now-defunct indie label 'Transcopic'. Coxon also played guitar on Peter Doherty's 2009 solo album Grace / Wastelands.
11th May 2009, Coxon released his 7th album 'The Spinning Top'. 2009 saw Coxon embark on numerous gigs with Blur, including headlining Glastonbury Festival.

Bottom Bunk
Graham Coxon Lyrics

Tell you 'man that really hurt'
So I'm lying in the bottom bunk
Then he slammed me in the door
Got me feeling pretty sore
So I'm lying in the bottom bunk
Now we've gone too far astray
Not much of a holiday
I do believe you've had your way with me
Your way with me
Very pretty and you're tanned
But I rather sleep with my right hand
So I'm lying in the bottom bunk
'cause baby things just get too rough
When we get together in above
So I'm lying in the bottom bunk
Now we've gone too far astray
I do believe you've had your way with me
Not much of a holiday
I do believe you've had your way with me
Your way with me
The song "Bottom Bunk" by English musician Graham Coxon is a melancholy lament of a failed summer romance. The song's verses are filled with vivid imagery of a dirt-filled ground where the singer has had his glasses thrown in anger. The chorus references a bunk bed that the singer is lying in, implying that he is avoiding confrontation with his partner. The song's tone is filled with a sense of regret as Coxon's character comes to terms with the fact that this summer fling has not gone as planned.
The lyrics of the song suggest that the relationship between the two characters has become abusive, as the singer describes being "slammed" in a door by his partner. He also intimates that their sexual encounters have become unpleasant and unfulfilling, which is why he seeks refuge in the bottom bunk. Despite the mistreatment he has suffered, however, the singer seems to acknowledge the role he has played in the dissolution of the relationship, describing how they have gone "too far astray" and how his partner has had her "way with me".
Overall, "Bottom Bunk" is a bleary, poetic portrait of a summer gone wrong. It is a testament to Coxon's skill as a songwriter that he is able to capture such a broad range of emotions within the confines of a few verses and a chorus.
