Saddest Vacant Lot In All The World
Grandaddy Lyrics

She's in the kitchen crying by the oven
It seems she really loved him
And he's so drunk he's passed out it a Datsun
That's parked out in the hot sun
In the saddest vacant lot in all the world

Boldly going where he rarely knows
But he'll miss her when he goes
What a shame as she drifts out of reach
While he's still drunk asleep
In the saddest vacant lot in all the world

Saddest vacant lot in all the world
Saddest vacant lot in all the world
Saddest vacant lot in all the world

I saw this band twice in May 2004 in Sydney at The Metro and The Gaelic Club.
Both very moving and emotional experiences.
So glad I went to the gigs.
There are quite a few of my fave heroes that I've never seen LIVE and don't want to in order to avoid disappointment, yet these guys were absolutely amazing and mind blowing.
I cried a few times, that's how much I love this band's music.

Such gorgeous music. Much love to grandaddy for enriching my youth.

Datsun - Hudson is a great rhyme. And Datsuns are cool.

"Hot sun" my friend. 😊
