1. Graveyard is a hard rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden.
Joakim Nilsson, Rikard Edlund (both formerly of Norrsken), Axel Sjöberg, and Truls Mörck formed Graveyard in 2006. When Norrsken disbanded in 2000, guitarist Magnus Pelander went on to form doomy folk metal act Witchcraft and Nilsson and Edlund joined Albatros, a growly blues rock band whose lineup also included Sjöberg on drums. Initially they considered Albatros a hobby project, but after five years the members began taking their music more seriously and had grown dissatisfied with the direction their sound had taken. When Albatros broke up, Nilsson and Edlund decided that for their next venture, they would head back towards their roots as musicians and songwriters. Nilsson explains, “I am a singer, but in Albatross I only played guitar. Rikard played guitar but he is a bass player. We also wanted a more straightforward [rock] sound.”
Together with Sjöberg and guitarist/singer Truls Mörck they began practicing as Graveyard. Upon their initial formation, Graveyard quickly recorded a two track demo, played a total of three shows, and began planning for a full-length album with Swedish boutique label, Transubstans Records. In the meantime, they posted a demo of some of their material on MySpace. Songs from the band's Myspace caught the ear of Tony Presedo, founder of TeePee Records. Their self-titled debut album was recorded by Don Ahlsterberg and released in early 2008. On the recording sessions' completion, Truls Mörck was replaced by guitarist Jonatan Ramm. The debut album received generally good reviews. Graveyard performed at the 2008's South by Southwest Music Festival.
Graveyard was featured on Rolling Stone Magazine's Fricke's Picks for their first ever US gig at SXSW.[4] After SXSW, Graveyard toured with label mates Witch. In the Fall of 2008 Graveyard toured with Witchcraft and then Clutch. In 2009 they toured with the rock band CKY. Graveyard released their second album in spring of 2011.
2. Graveyard is also a melodic stoner rock/metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania. The band was formed in 2005 by five young like-minded guys. Later, the rhythm guitarist Artas left the band. Graveyard made a break when due to disagreements their vocalist Donatas Gailiušis also left the band. In the late spring of 2008 the band got back with a new vocalist and are ready to rock the stage again. The current members are: Simonas Palevičius (vocals), Marius Palivonas (guitar), Vaidotas Segenis (drums) and Martynas Samulevičius (bass guitar).

Graveyard won a rock&roll marathon in Kruševac, where they had beaten their competition of almost 20 bands, and the reward helped them as a part of the recording budget. But it’s never gonna meet the end.
You’re not supposed to know that it exists,
When nothing set us, nothing do deny.
If you leave your place in the fond days
To see the castles made of sand.
Watch it fall into the sea or either way
Your suits, the law, the uniforms,
They agree on the same patrons.
Time is what you got,
So do you know who you’re standing on
When they say it’s cheap, that’s how hard it goes
And cause the swipe of the game it suppose.
Your suits, the law, the uniforms,
They agree on the same patrons.
You know that life was made for so much more than this
More you wait, the more lose life control.
Oh, I don’t want your job,
No, I won’t live your life,
No, I won’t live your life.
So I won’t live for you
No, I ain’t got a boat,
No, I ain’t got a boat.
I see yourselves tonight, I’ll understand
What it is that makes a man.
When I hear them say that the lots you own
I hear insistence to broke your mouths.
If we can make it through the uny,
The world’ll become a jungle in doubt.
It’s the suits, the law, the uniforms bringing grieve on the sand patrol.
You know that life was made for someone more than this,
More than wait is profit and control.
Oh, I don’t want your job,
No, I won’t live your life,
No, I won’t live your life.
So I won’t live for you
No, I ain’t got a boat,
No, I ain’t got a boat.
It’s the suits, the law, the uniforms bringing grieve on the sand patrol.
You know that life was made for someone more than this,
More than wait is profit and control.
It’s the suits, the law, the uniforms bringing grieve on the sand patrol.
You know that life was made for someone more than this,
More than wait is profit and control.
The lyrics to Graveyard's song The Suits speak to issues of power and control in society. The first verse uses the metaphor of a pyramid to represent the power structure, highlighting the fact that it's always there even if we can't see it. The second verse speaks to the idea of leaving one's comfort zone to explore the world and potentially losing control, which can be both scary and exhilarating.
The chorus speaks directly to the idea of conformity and how the suits, the law, and the uniforms all serve the same patrons. This suggests that the structures in place are meant to keep certain people in power, regardless of the consequences for others. The line "more than wait is profit and control" further drives home this point, indicating that those in power are only interested in maintaining that power and accumulating wealth.
The final verse uses the metaphor of a jungle to represent the chaos that can result from this power struggle. The line "it's the suits, the law, the uniforms bringing grief on the sand patrol" suggests that innocent people are caught in the middle of this struggle, suffering the consequences of those in power. Ultimately, the song is a call to resist conformity and to instead seek something more meaningful in life that is not dictated by those in power.
