For a long time, “This Christmas” has been one of my all-time favorite Christmas Songs. To me it’s a great piece of music all on its own besides being a beautiful Christmas-themed song. We can thank the great Donny Hathaway for this fine piece. I have to say that Cee Lo did such an outstanding job on this song and his version staying close to Donny’s original arrangement has become my favorite version of the song. I could listen to this all day or any time of the year for that matter. Thank you to Donny Hathaway and to Cee lo Green for giving us this wonderful piece of music to enjoy over the Christmas Holidays each year.

Cee-Lo has always had an avant garde view point and even though in my soul I love Goodie Mob & the Dungeon Family- I was most excited when he struck out on his own with Perfect Imperfections and even the follow up a'bum Soul Machine (which took me back to the days of jump rope, pickles and peppermint sticks). Give his catalog a listen and you too will be comfortable to "expect the unexpected."
