Thanks to their enigmatic live shows and extensive touring Green Lizard built up a solid live reputation throughout Europe, played the Vans Warped Tour in 2003 and even did shows in South America.
In May of 2006, GREEN LIZARD saw the release of their third record on I Scream Records in Europe. The album is called Las Armas Del Silencio and features 10 solid rock songs which are the best the band ever did. Together with its great artwork, this record is already considered a classic in the history of GREEN LIZARD.
The self produced album was recorded by Menno Bakker (NRA, Undeclinable) and Alejandro LondoΓ±o (AgresiΓ³n), mixed by Clif Norrell (REM, The Pixies, Rollins, Faith No More, Mansun, Jeff Buckley) in Los Angeles and mastered at John Golden Mastering. Singer Remi about the recordings: βThis was definitely a new experience for us. By recording in different studios and with different people, we got the best of both worlds in this recording! Although it was extremely fun to produce it ourselves, it was a lot more work than we anticipated and we couldnβt have done it without the help of Menno and Alejandro. Of course, after recording two previous albums with a man like Clif taught us a lot about making a record.β
GREEN LIZARDβs previous albums were put out by Sony Music and sold more than 22.000 copies just in the Netherlands. Singer Remi: 'We never planned on signing to a major but our label got bought up by Sony Music. We sold pretty well and the last record 'Newborn' was supposed to be a European Sony signing but that never happened. We get offers to tour in Europe and the States all the time, but we never had a release there. This time we decided to find a label that can get the record out in all of Europe.'

Under Pressure
Green Lizard Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Mouth wide shut, screams within
Don't ask me
How I feel
About you
I said I'd stay
Don't ask me
About you
I said I'd stay for you
In the dark, I crawl outside
Hold my breath, to feel alive
Don't ask me
How I feel
About you
I said I'd stay
Don't ask me
How I feel
About You
I said I'd stay for you
Under pressure (3x)
Ahha, ohha, ahha, ohha
Don't ask me
How I feel
About you
I said I'd stay
Don't ask me
How I feel
About you
I said I'd stay
Don't ask me
About you
I said I'd stay for you
Under pressure (3x)
The lyrics to Green Lizard's song "Under Pressure" seem to express the internal struggle of someone who is in a difficult relationship. The first lines, "Eyes out front, blind within, Mouth wide shut, screams within," suggest that the person is putting on a front for the outside world, while internally they are full of pain and frustration that they are unable to express. The repetition of the line, "Don't ask me how I feel about you, I said I'd stay," implies a sense of obligation that is keeping the person in the relationship, despite their true feelings.
The second verse, "In the dark, I crawl outside, Hold my breath, to feel alive," paints a picture of someone who is struggling to find any sense of fulfillment or joy in their situation. They feel as though they are suffocating and need to escape just to feel alive. However, they are still holding on to their promise to stay, despite the pressure they are under.
The chorus, "Under pressure," is repeated several times, emphasizing the overwhelming weight of the situation. It's clear that this person is struggling to keep it together in the face of mounting pressure, both internally and externally.
Overall, the lyrics to "Under Pressure" effectively capture the emotional turmoil of being in a difficult relationship, while still attempting to hold on to a sense of loyalty and obligation.
