But you were the one that could make me see
I just don't know why I'm standing on my own
Gotta try and make my future move along
Gonna make it, not just fake it
I wanna shock you, not just stop you
Can you feel it? Just believe it
I'm gonna do it, but you're standing in my way
If I try one more time I'm gonna cave in
I just don't know why I'm standing on my own
Gotta try and make my future move along
Gonna make it, not just fake it
I want to shock you, not just stop you
Can you feel it? Just believe it
I'm gonna do it, but you're standing in my way
I'm gonna make it, not just fake it
I wanna shock you, not just stop you
Can you feel it? Just believe it
I'm gonna do it, but you're standing in my way
The lyrics of Greenleaf's song Black Black Magic seem to be about someone trying to succeed on their own but facing an obstacle in the form of someone else. The first verse talks about how living is easy and free, but there was someone who made the singer see things differently. However, the singer is now standing on their own and trying to make their future move along, but they feel like someone is standing in their way.
The second verse talks about how the singer wants to make it and not just fake it. They want to shock the obstacle instead of just stopping them. The singer asks if the obstacle can feel it and just believes that they will do it despite the obstacle being in their way. The obstacle seems to be breaking the singer's body apart, and they feel like they will cave in if they try one more time. However, they still want to make it and shock the obstacle instead of just stopping them.
Overall, the lyrics of Black Black Magic seem to be about someone trying to overcome an obstacle and succeed despite someone standing in their way. The message seems to be that even though it may be tough, we should keep pushing ourselves to achieve our goals and not let anyone stand in our way.
