Depth Of The Sun
Greenleaf Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
There's a million ways to walk the plains, between the greats sky and the ground
And there's a million ways to play the game, stoned by the voice of sound
I've departed in solitude, to make sense of my thoughts
I've departed to make amends, make amends for all that was lost
At what cost?
Oooh, the depth of the sun reminds of something unknown
I've imagined a better life beyond the enormous despair
I've imagined a solid sign, something we all could share
But reckless we do the stroll, further on to nowhere
Yes, reckless we walked the road, without any care
Oh, high
Oooh, the depth of the sun reminds of something unknown
Oooh, the depth of the sun reminds of something unknown and divine
Divine
Oooh, the depth of the sun reminds of something unknown
Oooh, the depth of the sun reminds of something unknown and divine
Greenleaf's song "Depth of the Sun" talks about the complexity of life and how people tend to take it for granted. The song begins by talking about the various ways to live life and the different paths people take, but no matter what path they choose, they all end up in the same place. The lyrics mention departing in solitude to make sense of one's thoughts and make amends for all that was lost. It talks about imagining a better life beyond the enormous despair and looking for a solid sign that everyone can share. However, despite all these thoughts and imaginations, people tend to walk the road recklessly, without any care or thought to what may lie ahead.
Still, among all this chaos and confusion, the depth of the sun reminds them of something unknown and divine. The sun here can be interpreted as a symbol of hope, reminding people that there is more to life than what they see in front of them. Through the struggles and hardships of life, there is still beauty and mystery waiting to be discovered.
Overall, "Depth of the Sun" is a song that encourages people to reflect on their lives and look beyond the surface level. The lyrics suggest that there is more to life than just aimlessly walking through it and that there is beauty to be found in even the darkest moments.
