Originally from a small countryside village of Valenciennes, France, 27 years old Regis Israel, aka GreenShape, with his soft voice and ghostly folk pop songs speak of lost love and troubled family history.
One could almost feel like driving a Cadillac in a film by Wim Wenders and hear "Pound After Pound", and sometimes the sound of the sixties folk haunting.
Since 2003 GreenShape has traveled through the scenes of the north in various projects, but the folk guitar he found from the closet of his grandmother, and the stepfather’s Simon & Garfunkel vinyls always returned to his memory. He worships Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake and the Beatles.
Freshly signed to the label Sober & Gentle (Hey Hey My My, Cocoon, Kid Bombardos), GreenShape, as following a career of an amateur boxer delivers compositions that painlessly breaks your heart. It will bring all our most poignant memories to the surface with a desire to reapply again.
Recording the debut album with Mark Daumail, singer-songwriter of Cocoon, will promise us an experience of rare intensity.
Feel Better

me font toujours autan d'effet
me font toujours autan d'effet
parararpapara parararpapara
parararpapara parararpapara
parararpapara parararpapara
me font toujours autan d'effet
me font toujours autan d'effet
parararpapara parararpapara
parararpapara parararpapara
parararpapara parararpapara
m'aimeras tu demain?
et mes lèvres posés sur tes mains
m'aimeras tu demain?
The lyrics of Greenshape's song Feel Better are in French, and they convey the feelings of a person who is eagerly waiting for someone they love. The lyrics express the anticipation of the singer for a lover that they have not yet embraced but who they feel so deeply attracted to. The sense of longing is further emphasized by the use of the imagery of butterflies in the stomach, which enhances the emotional intensity of the lyrics.
The singer's emotions continue to escalate with the thoughts of how they envision the love to be between them and this special someone. The singer is overcome with the intensity of their feelings, and even though they are scared of what could happen, they don’t want to resist their attraction anymore. Despite knowing that they should be resisting their emotions, they are unable to hold themselves back any longer.
The repeated phrase "j'ai peur de nous," which can be translated into "I'm afraid of us," is indicative of the singer's conflicting emotions. The feeling of being pulled, despite the fear of the unknown, comes across as a recurring theme throughout the lyrics. The song ends with the singer asking the question of whether their love will continue to grow in the future, or if it will disappear after just one night.
