He started studying jazz and classical piano at age 5, but has also studied the music of the Middle East and India. In addition to being a performer, Maroney is also a composer.
Maroney has recorded numerous CDs including "Songs of the Water Rose," "The Copper Hat," "Sentinel," "Harmony Grove," "Wind Chimes," "Seven Valleys," and "The Garden Gate."
