Their debut EP, "The Only Way To Kill You" was released in 2012.
Of the members, Stonestreet grew up in a musical family and began performing at age 11. Dixon attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
The band developed their home base in the Pacific Northwest, reaching sell-out status in their home town of Portland along with tours through the western US and Canada.

In Greylag's song "Black Crow," the singer speaks to the titular bird in a tone of release and reclamation. The bird's colors and disguise, though once captivating, no longer hold sway over the singer. Now that their vision has cleared and they see things truthfully, they can easily dismiss the crow's attempts to lure them with its calls and whistles. The singer avows that they're unperturbed and cleaned by water and blood, and they no longer suffer from the bird's eerie influence. All their superstitions vanish in the face of love.
