On Ellen, Greyson revealed he had received piano lessons for the past 3 years, but had not undergone any formal vocal training. He cited Lady Gaga as his primary inspiration, stating, "I love how she's so different, and she takes her individuality and she takes her amazing talent that she has and she makes just great songs that are catchy and make you want to dance."
Greyson was on the show on May 26, 2010 again. He performed his own song "Broken Hearts". He got 10,000 dollar from the producers of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Also Ellen told that Greyson is the first artist on her brand new label called eleveneleven and that they will make a record together.
As of 2014, Greyson is currently in the process of writing and recording his sophomore studio album.
On March 15, 2019 Chance released his sophomore album "portraits". He, himself, calls it his debut album because he had complete creative control on this album and he feels like it's what reflects him now, as an artist.

Little London Girl
Greyson Chance Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And I step outside
It's close to midnight
And the fog is in
And the street lights
With the sound of Big Ben
It reminded me
When we first met in that cafe
And our worlds entwined.
Oh don't you know?
I'm gonna shout it from the rooftops now, baby
I'm ready to go.
Oh don't you know?
It doesn't matter if the sun is going down on me
You light my world
My little London girl.
Sunglasses on
You take me to Camden Town
As you share your headphones
With the Kinks and the Rolling Stones.
As you walk around
In your leather boots
All the boys are staring
But you're not caring
'Cause you're so rock and roll (so rock and roll)
Whoa
Oh don't you know?
I'm gonna shout it from the rooftops now, baby
I'm ready to go.
Oh don't you know?
It doesn't matter if the sun is going down on me
You light my world
My little London girl.
(Yeah) You light my world
(Yeah) You light my world
(Yeah) You light my world
(Yeah) You light my world
(Yeah) You light my world
World
Oh don't you know?
We're gonna shout it from the rooftops now, baby
Are you ready to go?
Oh don't you know?
You light my world
My little London
Girl don't you know?
I'm gonna shout it from the rooftops now, baby
I'm ready to go.
Oh don't you know?
It doesn't matter if the sun is going down on me
You light my world
My little London girl.
The song "Little London Girl" by Greyson Chance is an homage to the titular girl in London who has captured the singer's heart. The song is essentially about the singer's recognition of the impact this person has had on his life and how their worlds have intertwined. The song begins with the singer shutting the door and realizing that it's close to midnight and the fog is in, with the sound of Big Ben fading in the background. This sets up the atmosphere of the song, with the nostalgic feel of walking through the foggy streets of London.
The second verse talks about the girl, her style, and her attitude towards life. The singer admires her as she walks around in her leather boots, with the boys staring at her but she doesn't care because she's so rock and roll. The chorus brings back the focus to how much the singer loves the girl and how she lights up his world. He wants to shout it from the rooftops and let everyone know how much she means to him.
Overall, the song is an upbeat and energetic love letter to a girl from London. The lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia for the city, with the sound of Big Ben and the mention of Camden Town, and the guitar-driven melody adds to the song's feeling of excitement and energy.
