He mostly operates as an unsigned act, releasing his albums through Evening Records; the one exception to this rule is Lost And Found, his only widely-commercial release. Griffin is almost always on tour and recently completed a successful tour opening for Mat Kearney. House attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and released the album Lost & Found in 2004. It was recorded on a shoestring budget with House, his band and a few friends doing the producing and recording themselves with only one or two takes. House also recorded a cover of the Jackson Browne song, "These Days" for the Everwood soundtrack album. Both that song and "Amsterdam" were later featured in the show.

I'm falling, falling
I'm trying but I'm turned around
Can anybody hear me?
I'm calling, calling
I'm flying upside down
Take me all the way and
'Cause I've got nothing but
The ground to break my fall
I'm lost and I need to turn around
I'm falling, I'm flying upside down
Turn me around
Can anybody reach me
I'm crawling, crawling
I'm lying on the ground
Can anybody take me
I'm calling, falling
I'm flying upside down
Take me all the way and
You take me at all
'Cause I've got nothing
But the ground to break my fall
I'm lost and I need to turn around
I'm falling, I'm flying upside down
Turn me around
Can you tell me that it's all gonna be alright
Stopping here I need you where I lie
Just one time I'd like to look you in the eye
'Cause if I don't I'm afraid heaven gonna pass me by
I'm lost and I need to turn around
I'm falling, I'm flying upside down
I'm lost and this is a cry for help
Turn me around
I'm upside down
The lyrics to Griffin House's song Flying Upside Down are about a person who is falling and lost, desperately seeking help to turn their life around. They feel as if they are flying upside down and that they have nothing but the ground to break their fall. The person is calling out for someone to help them, but feels as though no one can hear them. They are crawling on the ground, lost and unable to turn themselves around. They are also afraid that if they don't get help, heaven will pass them by.
The theme of the song is one of desperation and hopelessness. The person clearly feels overwhelmed by their situation and cannot figure out a way to fix it on their own. They need someone to help them turn their life around and get them headed back in the right direction. The lyrics are a cry for help and a plea for someone to save them from continuing to fall and crash.
Overall, Flying Upside Down is a powerful song that captures the emotions of someone who is lost and scared. The lyrics are very relatable, as many people have felt lost or unsure about their path in life at one point or another. There is a sense of vulnerability and honesty to the lyrics, and the song is a great reminder that it's okay to ask for help when you need it.
