I communicate to others that I need their support in achieving my goals

I am questioning and exploring our current culture and society

Examine that, which is worth living
I am examining what is truly important and meaningful in life

Pay attention to me and what I have to say

Man, I've been chambered, hyperbolic
I have been feeling trapped and exaggerated in my emotions lately

This quarantine alone tests my lows, diastolic
Being alone during quarantine has been difficult, and tests my emotional strength

In the mornings I wake up, inhale a breath, reset my optics
I start each day with a deep breath and a fresh perspective

Then set the day's intention to affect my diagnostics
I set my intentions for the day, with the goal of making positive changes in my life

I won't deny moments encroaching on my process
I acknowledge that there will be obstacles and setbacks in my personal growth

But waiting for the right one, doesn't seem right for my progress
I am not waiting for the perfect moment or opportunity to make progress in my life

Instead of biding time, waiting for planets to align
I am taking action and working towards my goals, rather than waiting for the perfect circumstances

I tell myself this world is mine and that I'm awesome
I have confidence and belief in myself and my ability to succeed in this world

How am I not gon' take advantage of the growth
I am making the most of opportunities to learn and grow

All those nights of bumping music on my balcony alone
I have spent many nights alone, listening to music and reflecting on my life

Shadow boxing with my doubts as I'm musing on my phone
I often struggle with self-doubt, and work through these feelings by reflecting and writing

Trimming fat from what distracts
I am removing things from my life that distract me from my goals and purpose

Keep my mental in my zone
I am focused and intentional about protecting my mental health and staying in a positive mindset

That's the mode
This is my state of being and way of operating in life

And how I roll
This is how I live and move through life

Fact is I'll never stop myself from putting on a show
I will always express myself creatively and artistically, regardless of any obstacles or doubts

So if you drop a beat around me I'mma catch a flow
I am always ready to create and collaborate when it comes to music

And I'mma never start a task and not watch it unfold
I always follow through on my commitments and see things through to completion
