She isn't in isolation, she knows her audience and does not live in a bubble. +madradford Claire states in an interview this week an XM Radio that Flesh Without Blood is about a falling out with a specific best friend, who she refers to as "she". I'm guessing the "she" was a diversionary tactic....and the song is about a boy. My guess is that the song is about a falling out with her old friend Blood Diamonds, now known as just "Blood". Think of the irony: "Without BlOOD" in the title.....a serious emphasis on the word "GO" in the chorus (the song she and "Blood" recorded together). Also, in the XM interview she states that she wrote "Flesh Without Blood" right after she recorded "Go"...and right about the time that Claire and Blood Diamonds ceased appearing all over each others social media. "Blood" went on to produce songs for Madonna and Bieber...so perhaps the overly "pop" aesthetic of the song is a further diss.

I didn't hate Flesh w/o Blood...but I didn't really like it either.
But Claire is legit creative and intelligent and interesting...and she's clearly getting quite good at this whole music production thing.
