It end the way down low
But you can't go where they all go
Read about me, not me, not me, it ends with me
When the leaves begin to fall
I try to catch 'em all
Grimes's song "laughing_and_not_being_normal" is a standout track from her 2015 album "Art Angels". The song blends elements of pop and electronic music to create a unique and addictive sound. The opening line "Beat on the gong with him, on, on" sets the scene for a surreal and dreamlike experience. The song seems to be about the desire to escape from reality and the struggles that come with this. The line "it ends the way down low" could be interpreted as an acknowledgement that things may not always end well. However, the following line "but you can't go where they all go" suggests that the singer is determined to carve their own path.

Beat on the gong with him, on, on
Join in and make some noise, don't hold back
It end the way down low
Things often come to an end in a dark, low place
But you can't go where they all go
You can't follow in the footsteps of everyone else, you have to forge your own path
Read about me, not me, not me, it ends with me
My story may be written down, but it's mine alone and will end with me
When the leaves begin to fall
As time passes and seasons change, things may fall apart and decay
I try to catch 'em all
Despite the inevitability of decay and loss, I still try to hold onto every moment and experience
