The band was formed in 1993 under the name Grip as a five-piece band featuring former Overkill bass player Bobby Gustafson on second guitar. After Gustafson and bass player Chaz Grimaldi left the band, Grip Inc hired Jason Viebrooks (Heathen) and recorded their first album, The Power Of Inner Strength. The release of the album was followed by European tour with Motörhead and, later, with Kreator. After releasing their second album in 1997, Viebrooks was replaced by Stuart Carruthers.
The release of their third album, Solidify, in 1999 was followed by a co-headlining tour with Italian band Lacuna Coil (one of the many bands produced by Sorychta). Despite Dave Lombardo's return in Slayer in 2001, Grip Inc released a fourth album in 2004.
Since then, Sorychta founded Eyes Of Eden and Enemy Of the Sun while Gus Chamber joined Squealer A.D.. On 16th August 2008, Gus Chambers joined Enemy Of The Sun on stage for an exclusive Grip Inc. oriented set In Bochum (Germany).
Unfortunately, Gus Chambers passed away on October 13, 2008 at the age of 52. Chambers, who resided in Coventry, England, reportedly took his own life.

Cinical routine, family union dissolved
Accused, abandonment, dead beat
Admonished, siblings, severed values detached
Hear my children calling
Loud out to me
I won't subscribe to a campaign
Build to resist, build to resist
My children I'll come for you
Bonded, subculture formed
Anguish, yearning fills painful spiritless void
Blood flows vested strong and free
Starved from rightful tender physical resolve
Har my children crying
Loud out to me
I won't subscribe to a campaign
Bent on tragedy
My children I come for you
The lyrics of Grip Inc.'s song "Resist" explore the theme of exile and separation from one's family. The song begins with the singer proclaiming that he has been branded and forced into exile, causing his family to dissolve. The accusations of being a deadbeat and being admonished by his siblings lead to severed values and detachment. Despite this, the singer hears his children calling out to him, and he refuses to subscribe to a campaign bent on tragedy. He builds a resistance to come for his children and their rightful tender physical resolve, who are crying out for him.
The lyrics continue to explore the theme of building a resistance and creating a subculture formed by blood flows that are vested strong and free, yearning to fill a spiritless void of anguish. The message is clear that the singer will fight to come for his children and resist the campaign that has caused his separation from them. The repetitive chorus reinforces this notion, urging him to build to resist, which is an anthem of persistent resistance.
Overall, Grip Inc.'s song "Resist" is a powerful commentary on the hardships of family separation and the struggle to remain united in the face of adversity. The lyrics are evocative and will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced the pain of being estranged from their family.
