The band was formed in 1993 under the name Grip as a five-piece band featuring former Overkill bass player Bobby Gustafson on second guitar. After Gustafson and bass player Chaz Grimaldi left the band, Grip Inc hired Jason Viebrooks (Heathen) and recorded their first album, The Power Of Inner Strength. The release of the album was followed by European tour with Motörhead and, later, with Kreator. After releasing their second album in 1997, Viebrooks was replaced by Stuart Carruthers.
The release of their third album, Solidify, in 1999 was followed by a co-headlining tour with Italian band Lacuna Coil (one of the many bands produced by Sorychta). Despite Dave Lombardo's return in Slayer in 2001, Grip Inc released a fourth album in 2004.
Since then, Sorychta founded Eyes Of Eden and Enemy Of the Sun while Gus Chamber joined Squealer A.D.. On 16th August 2008, Gus Chambers joined Enemy Of The Sun on stage for an exclusive Grip Inc. oriented set In Bochum (Germany).
Unfortunately, Gus Chambers passed away on October 13, 2008 at the age of 52. Chambers, who resided in Coventry, England, reportedly took his own life.

Roam the roads to nowhere
Street wise ragged with rage
Fucked by society, left outside
The systems cold embrace
Insane, Unsafe, Labelled
Rough warrior, veteran
Defender of nations, savage scars unable to heal
Admission, tagged the wretched
Of this land
Just another hard luck story
Just another day
Just another twisted manic
Just another throw away
Just another beggar begging
Get out the way
Straight talk falls on the deaf ears
Go ask the man under the bridge
He is the man under the bridge
He has no place for his head to lay
He is the man under the bridge
Left out, locked out, cast out, rejected
Just another hard luck story
Just another day
Just another twisted manic
Just another throw away
Just another beggar begging
Get out the way
Straight talk falls on the deaf ears
Go ask the man under the bridge
He is the man under the bridge
He has no place for his head to lay
He is the man under the bridge
Ostracized
The lyrics in Grip Inc.'s song "Ostracized" paint a bleak picture of society's outcasts, who are left outside and labeled as insane, unsafe, and wretched. The song speaks of legions of people who roam the roads to nowhere, disenchanted with a system that has cast them aside. The singer speaks of a hardened warrior with savage scars unable to heal, rejected and refused admission to society's norms.
The song further delves into the experiences of those cast out and rejected, those who are just another hard luck story or throwaway person. The singer speaks of a beggar begging, needing to be noticed as straight talk falls on deaf ears. The man under the bridge serves as the embodiment of the outcast, a person with no place for his head to lay - ostracized, left out, locked out, and cast out.
Overall, the song "Ostracized" highlights the plight of society's outcasts, invoking images of a dystopian world where people are left to fend for themselves and are relegated to the fringes of society.

agreed
@DickGozinya-zl2bd
I thought "Power of inner strength" was a better album than "Devine Intervention" which came out the same year. Definitely a HUGE victory for Dave after leaving Slayer.

"Only the Good Die Young" R.I.P.Gus! One of the best vocals ever
@bjbeardse
That riff is just a fukcing HAMMER!!!! I remember when this came out, I was a radio DJ and heard this in a sample disc, IMMEDIATELY ran to the studio and played it. I ended up playing it 5 more time before my shift ended. (Back then you could do that, it wasn't a chain station) I really miss those days....
