Wendy
Wendy
Wendy
Siga resistiendo algo inevitable
Aunque siga resistiendo algo inevitable
Wendy
¿cuánto hemos cambiado?
Wendy
¿cuándo ha pasado?
Wendy
¿cuánto hemos cambiado?
Wendy
Aún no ha terminado
Aún no ha terminado
Siga resistiendo algo inevitable
Aunque siga resistiendo algo inevitable
Wendy
Wendy
Wendy
Wendy
Aún no ha terminado
Aunque siga resistiendo algo inevitable
The song "Wendy" by Grises is a nostalgic reflection on the passing of time and the inevitability of change. The repetition of Wendy's name throughout the song serves as a symbol for the past and the person that the singer used to be. The lyrics convey a sense of resignation as the singer admits to no longer being as strong as they once were and becoming accustomed to things that they had hoped to resist.
I don't see the plans I made in my mind) reveal frustration and disillusionment with one's current reality. The singer feels stuck and unable to achieve the goals they once set for themselves. The haunting line "sigo viendo monstruos cuando pulso interruptores" (I still see monsters when I press switches) suggests that the singer is haunted by their past and struggles to move on.
In the chorus, the questions "¿cuánto hemos cambiado?" (how much have we changed?) and "¿cuándo ha pasado?" (when did it happen?) reveal a longing for the past and a sense of bewilderment at how quickly time has flown by. The repetition of "aún no ha terminado" (it's not over yet) suggests that there is still hope for the future and that the singer is not ready to give up just yet.
Overall, "Wendy" is a contemplative and introspective song about the complexities of growing older and coming to terms with the inevitable changes that life brings.
