Grizzly Bear was originally the solo project of Edward Droste (vocals/guitar), who recorded his debut album Horn of Plenty at home. The record was originally meant for his friends, but it eventually circulated and got a proper release in 2004, this time with the help of Christopher Bear (drums/vocals). A re-release with a bonus disc of remixes was issued in 2005.

2005 also saw the addition of the two other band members, Chris Taylor (woodwinds/electronics/engineering/production) and Daniel Rossen (vocals/guitar). Playing as a four piece allowed the complexity of sound that was recorded on Horn of Plenty to be played live. The band toured throughout the year, playing songs off the first album as well as some of the new songs they were collectively writing that would make up Yellow House.

An album of Droste's early demo recordings, Sorry for the Delay, was released in 2006. Later that year they signed to Warp to release Yellow House on September 4th, 2006, to great acclaim.

In 2007, the band released Friend EP, which features outtakes, alternate versions, and covers done by CSS, Band of Horses, and Atlas Sound. In addition, members of the Dirty Projectors and Beirut collaborated with the band on "Alligator" and the EP's hidden track.

The band released their third full length album, Veckatimest, on May 26, 2009. After extensive touring, the band took a six month hiatus and then reconvened to record in Marfa, Texas and Cape Cod and released their fourth full length album, Shields, on September 18, 2012.

Best place for finding a Grizzly bear for me is a place up to the north called "Fairvale Shanty" its a huge open ground with a plenty of space to find a kill that bear. You will find also a cabin there which is demolished by Grizzly a with two dead strangers and a loot box with jewelry, platinum pocket watch and gold nugget. Great video by the way.

This and the location close to Wallace Station gave me around 4-6 grizzly spawns, then suddenly they stopped though I haven’t altered anything about my strategy. For some phugged up reason the developers did that

If it’s happening to you, look for another location and do the sleeping, saving and reloading strategy and exploit it until they stop spawning against Dan then change location and so on

For those who want to bait it, you could use regular predator bait, or potent predator bait, which can be crafted with gritty fish fillet and any kind of berry

To find gritty fish meat, you can find them in bluegills, channel and bullhead catfish, and the longnose gar
You can actually go into your satchel and break down the smaller fish like bullheads and bluegills into meat instead of holding onto their entire bodies, which makes them accessible for crafting the bait

I love watching hunting, and doing it. I’m getting better at killing 3 stars instead of just one stars. Hunting is one of my favorite things to do. And good horse choice, the Hungarians are loyal and brave! Also, tip, if you can’t find a predator your looking for, watch your horse. She will tell you if you have found it, or need to keep looking.

I love hunting too and I swear that one of the bravest horses I've had was a beautiful wild white kentucky saddler that I managed to tame some time ago... I know it's dumb but I really loved her... She was such a good girl... I took her with me and my main horse through a lot of hunting while I was trying to complete the Trapper's list, but I needed another horse with a saddler already on it so I could bring more turkeys to camp as well... I just couldn't bear myself to sell her to an stable or the fence so I took her to a nice place, gave her a lot of food, medicines, cleaned her and then fled her back into the wild... Now I go around with my main horse that is a missouri fox trotter, but I'll tell you, my boi is just as coward as he is fast, still love him though...

Second location: I found the carcass of the bear I've killed, even if I reloaded, even if I save and quit the game. You have to wait at leat one day doing main story missions. Maybe it's the new patch: when you study an animal from rabbit to bear, you know immediatly before the kiling if the pelt is perfect or decent or mediocre.

The fourth bear with tucker, if you’re trying to do the final master hunter challenge where you kill a grizzly with throwing knives, use the time that tucker is getting mauled to throw knives at it. Thats how I did it R.I.P. tucker

The bear associated with Tucker is tougher than legendary animals. I have managed to save Tucker's friend 3 times now. You need to empty your repeater and pistols into him -special amo including explosive amo in one weapon. Start shooting as soon as he spawns.

No special dialogue though from the man. Clearly no one was supposed to save him. He just wanders off limping away from the cabins/camp. Once he accted afraid of me.

You can save the last guy actually. I didn't know there was a grizzly there, so I had a pump action shotgun with incendiary rounds equipped instead of a rifle. Spammed the bear with it and burnt it to a crisp. The guy ran off in a panic and I couldn't find him afterwards, but he was alive. The pelt was poor though.

I don’t know what horse it is but it looks like a Tennessee Walker or Kentucky Sadler but here’s a huge tip. If you go to lake Isabella after chapter one around the lake you should find a white Arabian horse which is the fastest in the game you can also find a legendary bison there too 😁

The bear is never at the cabin and if there is 1 around it is usually south west of cabin along cliff side also the stranger mission never happens for me so I am yet to find that bear as well but your other 2 locations always work just not ditches cabin or cairn lake bear !

Let me tell you something.

When I was playing Red Dead Online. I was going from wallace station to further Grizzlies for my collector.
I came across a pack of wolves-7, I know right? So much for a big posse.I killed them, then I started riding to Big Valley for my camp it was near the Little Creek River.

I wanted to upgrade my outfit (Basically needed better spurs,Ha). Rode through the forest and managed to get bucked off because I had an Arabian and they're sensitive for predators. Looked around why'd I get bucked off and saw god damn 4 Grizzly Bears...

Ugh, I do keep screwing up the Vetter's Echo cabin location. Have restarted more than 6 times. Can't seem to get better than good pelt. I watched you do it and you make it seem so easy, lol. I have been using the Lancaster with express ammo. You said you are using the "improved" Springfield. Do you mean that you added a scope and rifling? I did that, too. Or, is it a different rifle all together? What kind of ammo are you using? Thank you!

you have to use a springfield (a rifle) the lancaster is a repeater, you need a rifle for hunting:) and i use express ammo almost exclusively.

@Gigi Not all animals need the rifle though. Whilst bears and most big game require them, you'll damage the pelts of other animals if you use it so make sure you study the animal and then look at its info to know what kind of weapon to use

its when you modify a gun by putting a scope on it. if you buy a gun that already has a scope you will automatically look through the scope so you need to put one on a gun that doesn't have it when you buy.
