Founded in 2005 by Manu Ferrón and Juan Rodríguez, aka "J" from succesful spanish indie band "Los Planetas". Other members are guitar player Víctor Lapido ("091", "Lagartija Nick"), bass player Miguel López ("Los Planetas") and Antonio Lomas, drums ("Lapido").
Their first album "Alegato Meridional" (El Ejército Rojo, 2006) is a hymn to the south, the mid-day (slow-tempo) activities and the joy of life. Sung in spanish with a strong accent from their hometown, Granada, the lyrics are mainly simple stories about meeting friends in the street, enjoying lazyness at home and what life is made of under the southern sun, with a common and easy language and a strong influence of their beloved american southern folk and country-ish music.
In that way, Grupo de Expertos Solynieve also covers tracks from other latitudes: "Ballad of the easy Rider" (The Byrds), "Personalitá Empírica" (Franco Battiato), "Déjame vivir con alegría" (Vainica Doble), "Sureños" (Silvio) aswell as many other live performances with songs from Gram Parsons.

a ningún sitio.
No voy contigo,
te lo repito.
Aunque insistas me quedo aquí
tan agustico.
No llames más
No llames más,
te lo suplico.
Que a esa hora ya sabes tú
estoy ’dormío’.
A las nueve o las diez
ya estaré operativo.
Pero no voy a ir
a ningún sitio.
Si acaso una
en el Ruido.
Pero una na’ más
y nos subimos.
Echa otra y ya está
y luego nos subimos.
Ponte la última ya
y luego decidimos.
Pero no voy a ir
a ningún otro sitio.
Eso ya va a ser
mucho de lo mismo.
No me voy a meter
contigo en el cuartillo,
que se hace de día
y estamos ahí ’metíos’.
Y mañana a las nueve
hay que estar en el cortijo.
Pero no voy a ir.
The song "Par de Flamenquines" by Grupo de Expertos Solynieve is about the singer's refusal to go anywhere with someone, despite their constant insistence. The singer repeats that they are happy where they are and do not want to be dragged around anywhere. The person pleading is urged not to call after nine to five because the singer is usually sleeping by then. The singer is only willing to go to one place, "el Ruido," and not spend too much time there. They want to have one more drink and then decide whether to go back into the world. The singer emphasizes that they do not want to go anywhere else and will not go into any private spaces. They need to be at "el cortijo" by nine in the morning which seems to imply they have work or some other important responsibility later.
The lyrics suggest that the singer is a highly introverted person who values their time spent doing nothing and have no interest in going anywhere else but their comfort zone. They don't want the responsibility of committing to anything other than what they want to do. The song is about the struggle of setting boundaries and saying no to people without feeling guilty.
