I'm dreaming.
I am drawing words.
Words that tell the truth.
Don't forget, they tell me.
Even if I go to other towns.
Even if I go to other lands.
I don't forget my language.
I do not forget my Mayan language.
I do not forget my Mayan people.
My people
My people
Do not forget,
Don't forget it soon.
My people
My thought
my mayan town
Do not forget
don't forget it soon
Today I am going to teach my language.
My Mayan language.
Today I am going to teach.
To teach the importance of my language.
The importance of my town
The importance of the thought of my people.
My people
Do not forget
Don't forget it soon.
My people
My tongue
My thought
My Mayan people.
towns
Songs that remember the importance of towns.
Eyes that reflect the love of the peoples.
Hands that teach the importance of the work of the peoples.
Feet that walk the mountains of the towns.
Towns that shout truths.
Truths for a good job.
A good coexistence.
For a good life.

Estoy soñando.
Estoy dibujando palabras.
Palabras que dicen verdades.
No lo olvides me dicen.
Aunque me vaya a otros pueblos.
Aunque me vaya a otras tierras.
No olvido mi lengua.
No olvido mi lengua maya.
No olvido mi pueblo maya.
Mi pueblo
Mi pueblo
No lo olvides,
No lo olvides pronto.
Mi pueblo
Mi pensamiento
Mi pueblo maya
No lo olvides
No lo olvides pronto
Hoy voy a enseñar mi lengua.
Mi lengua maya.
Hoy voy a enseñar.
A enseñar la importancia de mi lengua.
La importancia de mi pueblo
La importancia del pensamiento de mi pueblo.
Mi pueblo
No lo olvides
No lo olvides pronto.
Mi pueblo
Mi lengua
Mi pensamiento
Mi pueblo maya.
Pueblos

It’s about never forgetting one’s Native American roots specifically Yucatec Mayan which is spoken in Mexico a country that was colonized by Spain. Oh. And, It is also spoken in Belize which was ofc colonized by Britain.

Its amazing to hear the ancient Mayan language in a huge MCU movie. And its amazing to hear this poem. As a Mexican I feel so connected to this. If you had told me years ago this language would be featured in a major film I wouldn’t have believe you.
Donald Lee
I'm really intrigued by this song. Is there a source for an English translation?
