I really hope an expansion gets made with the Tengu sometime in the next year or 2. Hopefully sooner then later. It would be awesome to play as a Tengu.

Nowadays you can actually use a mount to get enough altitude to hover just over the wall - but there's nothing but a blank void behind it. The game also really really tries to prevent you doing so - the front of the wall (at least in the area near the Dominion Killing Zone in Kessex Hills) is entirely a thin layer of invisible wall that the Skyscale can't grapple.

Personally, I'd rather we just go in through one of the doors. Perhaps by the hero challenge in Caledon or the aforementioned section in Kessex. With the Cantha expansion (still a long ways off from that, but it was confirmed), we may end up actually finally getting to see the actual Dominion of Winds!

Wouldn't say they're always that agressive as they were whilst the Battle for Lion's Arch, it was a war zone and you couldn't really identify if friend or foe behind this wall, or if the player characters where Scarlet's spies. If the Tengu really wanted to betray and attack they would have just opened the door and stormed the city to wreak even more havoc.

All the did was defending themselves.

But I guess you could end up in jail, or whatever their cultural equivalent for this is. Maybe you're lucky and all they do is throwing you out :P

One of the first songs I heard in-game 7~ years ago...
I was sure they would put this in Cantha just like they put some Maguuma Wastes music in Elona... They didn't... But then while in the Echovald Forest Tengu village I heard the new version that plays there, I almost cried.
Immense nostalgia. Thanks for bringing it back like that.

You know that Jeremy Soule actually made some MoP-soundtracks, for example the one that plays in the Jade Forest. The MoP soundtrack is awesome though.

i too believe the "human-bird" hybrid in heavy armor would look fantastic, given the amazing armors ANet has put so far in the game, add to that the option to dye your stuff and there's countless combinations

This one has the ancient Chinese vibe. I imagine myself helping my grandpa pick tea leaves in a mountainous area while a few cranes fly out of mist in the far horizon.

Probably one of my favorite pieces in the whole game. So serene and peaceful. Also, Tengu and Cantha. Still feeling hyped for that upcoming expansion even though it's still a long ways away!

I was talking about his different styles. His Skyrim tracks for example somewhat mirror his shiverpeaks tracks of GW2.

This one just stood out to me as it really felt like town music from oblivion.

A lot of the songs are like that. I own the OST- the song you hear around the norn area (wayfarer foothills) is apparently the Tamini theme.

Yes there are, although very few.
The Tengu enclaved themselves withing the Dominion of Winds, forming a safe-haven for elder dragons.
Maybe in the future this species will bloom again, and who knows even as a playable one :D (hoping too much here ;~;)

They're having distorted sound effects, to make them sound like birds actually trying to talk with their beaks. As well as the charr have some snapping and wet sounds, because of their snouts.

But I advise caution when purchasing from Directsong. The site is know for being unrealiable. I got all of GW1's soundtracks, and I had to download them from third party sites, because they stopped giving support for them all of a sudden.
