I used to listen to this album *religiously" back in the fall to winter of 2020. That's not very long ago, yes, but I still sort of get nostalgia from this. Brings me back to those cold nights where I'd walk my dog around my house and when I got my copy of the first Scott Pilgrim book.

I used to listen to GV all day, and I keep getting flashbacks to this golf puzzle game I used to play while listening to then where you had an empty 8x8 (I think? Maybe it was 9x9 or 12x12 or something) grid and a bunch of golf balls lined up on the outside. The goal was to place tiles, some of which had holes, and some of which had tracks which would lead a path from the ball to the hole. The longer the track, the more points you got. When you get a ball to the hole, the used tiles disappear and you can used that space again, but you had to be careful not to get too greedy because you could end up with a bunch of unusable space waiting for the right tile to show up.

Sorry to derail, I'm just craving that game like crazy and can't find it, or even remember what it was called.

Also, I always find it weird how listening to music or youtube vids while playing games sort of links them up in my brain forever, like I can get flashbacks to games I played when revisiting old vids or a specific song gets stuck in my head replaying parts of certain games

very interesting stuff, i'd recommend giving it a read, maybe even while listening to Guitar Vader!

Per Steve Laity, the Happy East follow-up was in some stage of being ready, written or something (I need to look up what he said) then there was some argument between Miki and Ujuan. Hideki Naganuma says he keeps in touch with Miki, Suzuki and Steve. So take that however you will.

Been waiting for someone to upload Rainbow Color 98 to youtube for like 15 years. I never knew the name of the song and I didn't know where else I'd ever been able to find something so obscure. Honestly Magical Girl and Super Brothers kinda stan out to me, as well as I Love Love You. It's most likely because Those were in JSR and JSRF (I Love Love You was remixed for JSRF,) so I've heard them more than the rest of the tracks in this album
