Guantanamera
Guitarricadelafuente Lyrics

El sabor a agua salada
He vendido ya mi alma
Guan, Guantanamera
Y soy un goodfella'
La vida en la plazuela
Mi cara e las monedas
La sangre se me altera
Quiero resucitar
Pa' sobrevivir me adentré en el humo
De tus cigarrillos acabamos hasta el culo
Pintame la piel, angelito oscuro
Y has quemado la ciudad
Y has quemado la ciudad
The lyrics of Guitarricadelafuente's "Guantanamera" reflect the artist's experiences in Havana, Cuba. He describes having forgotten the taste of saltwater and having sold his soul to the devil for money. He is now dying of thirst and looking for a way to survive. Despite this, he has enjoyed many moments in Havana, dancing the guajira in the morning and feeling the passion of the city. The mention of Guantanamera in the chorus adds to the Cuban theme, as it is a famous folk song that represents the spirit of the Cuban people.
The artist also reflects on his life as a "goodfella," having lived in the plazuela and his face being recognized as that of money. He wants to revive himself and escape the dangerous lifestyle he has been living. He mentions having entered into the smoke of cigarettes, becoming addicted and consumed by their effects. He asks to be given wings to fly away from the burning city, into the beautiful life of Cañart's caves, where everything seems so real.
The song showcases the conflicted feelings of the artist as he struggles with the realities of life in Havana, including poverty and danger, while also appreciating the vibrancy and passion of the city's culture.

@Swerilly
@blancalopz9891
@PeterParker-gi3bj
