Autumn
Gung Ho Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I just don't know if I can take it anymore

But I won't let it get to me
Though I won't let it get to me

I never knew
Why, why, why, why lie to you
I never knew
Why, why, why, why lie to you

There is a spot of the mind that I can't seem to leave behind
Makin up my mind
Running out of time inside

Why can't we have it all
Just like it was before

But I won't let it get to me
Though I won't let it get to me

I never knew
Why, why, why, why lie to you

I never knew
Why, why, why, why lie to you

Best part of the movie that I never see a clip of..."I tell you why. Maybe he's just trying to save this town." And the guys figure it out and rally. That's all Keaton's character thought about when he got the Japanese auto maker to move to his town. Save his town. Save the people.

Saito’s reaction when he realizes what he just said always cracks me up. It’s priceless.

it took me years to figure what that guy said. I always thought he said "conquered vision" but he actually says "congratulations".

Not a bad movie. I wish they showed the part at the beginning of the car counting when Mr. Sakamoto (Soh Yamamura) says that Kazihiro (Gedde Watanabe) questioned his honor and he responds with: "I did not question it, I counted on it." This makes Hunt's (Michael Keaton) actions make more sense since he was willing to confront Sakamoto and indeed humiliate himself to prove his point, actions Sakamoto respected an an honorable act. Bonus 80's movie trope points for the bully getting his comeuppance when Saito (Sab Shimoto) gets made janitor.
